Herbert Screw vs Lag Screw Fixation in Anterior Mandibular Fracture Treatment
Mandibular Fractures14 patients having recent anterior mandibular fracture divided into two groups. Group A has 6 patients and treated using Herbert bone screw, and group B has 6 patients and treated using lag screw. Clinical follow-up was conducted after 24-hours, one, four, six, and twelve weeks. In addition, a radiographic investigation was performed after twelve weeks to estimate the mean bone density across the fracture line.
Comparison of Double Y-shaped Plates and Lag Screws in Fixation of Anterior Mandibular Fractures...
Mandibular FracturesThis study is a prospective randomized controlled clinical trial. It was performed on sixteen patients with anterior mandibular fractures, to compare Double Y-shaped plates and Lag Screws in fracture fixation from clinical and radiographic perspectives.
Comparison of Surgical Approaches in Reducing Mandibular Angle Fracture
FracturesBone1 moreThis study compared the surgical approach to the lower jaw fractures, an approach from the face and an approach from inside the mouth were used and compared for the outcomes.
Arch Bars vs. IMF (Intermaxillary Fixation) Screws: Cost Effectiveness Based on Time Duration of...
Mandible FractureDetermining the cost effectiveness, based on the time duration of application, of two methods of wiring the jaws together during surgery to repair mandible fractures. One technique is more expensive but faster in application, while the other is less expensive and takes more time to apply.
Patients 60 Years and Older Suffering From Mandibular Fractures Registry
Mandibular FracturesApproximately 200 of patients of 60 years or older who present a mandibular fracture will be enrolled in this registry. All patients will be treated and followed up according to the local standard (routine) of care at around 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months and 6 months after treatment.
Mandibular Fracture Reduction Using Bone Reduction Forceps
Mandibular FracturesDifferent methods have been used in reducing mandibular fractures. Bone reduction forceps provides precise reduction and stabilize mandibular fracture segments.
Patient Specific Plates Versus Conventional Miniplates for Treatment of Mandibular Body Fractures...
Mandibular FracturesThe aim of the current study is to evaluate and assess the clinical stability and efficacy of patient specific computer guided titanium plates versus the conventional titanium mini plates regarding accurate reduction and fixation of mandibular body fractures, reducing the operating time, achieving precise bone alignment and reducing the plate palpability.
Evaluation of Customized V Plate Versus Conventional Miniplates of Mandibular Angle Fracture
Mandibular FracturesThe aim of the study to evaluate the effect of customized V pattern plate fixation versus a conventional superior-inferior mini plates fixation of mandibular angle fracture on mouth opening and radio graphical parameters.
Stability of Angle Fracture Fixation With (K) Shaped Titanium Miniplates Versus Two Miniplates
Mandible FractureIn patients with angle fracture , will the (K) shaped titanium miniplates provide more stable fixation than two conventional miniplates? Many studies have been conducted to compare between different techniques of fixation used in angle fracture fixation. The driving force behind this study was to design a new plate that would overcome the disadvantages of the other plating techniques but has the advantages & simplicity of the Champy technique (simple intraoral approach and few major complications). This new miniplate gives more biomechanical stability than the conventional Champy plate. More over the placement of a 3D miniplate or two separate miniplates for fixing angle fractures is more difficult and mostly will require a transbuccal approach , with increased surgical trauma, longer operation time unlike the new plate that could provide the clinician with a simple and reliable solution.
Clinical Assessment of Computer-assisted PEEK Versus Conventional Titanium Plates on Mandibular...
Fracture MandibleMandibular FracturesTwo groups of patients with mandibular body fractures indicated for Open reduction internal fixation alone or in combination with fractures elsewhere in the mandible or midface. First group will be subjected to traditional titanium internal rigid fixation. Second group will be subjected to custom made PEEK plates.
