InfectionsMeningococcalThis study will investigate the long-term protection offered by GSK Biologicals' meningococcal vaccine 134612 up to 3.5 years after vaccination. Subjects were vaccinated at 15 to 19 years of age. This extension phase starts 18 months after vaccination and part of the subjects who were vaccinated in the primary study will be enrolled in this extension phase. No new subjects will be enrolled. This protocol posting deals with objectives & outcome measures of the extension phase 18, 30 and 42 months after vaccination. The objectives & outcome measures of the primary phase are presented in a separate protocol posting (NCT00126945). The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, September 2007.
Safety Study of Group A, C, Y & W-135 Meningococcal Polysaccharide Diphtheria Toxoid Conjugate Vaccine...
Meningococcal MeningitisMeningococcal InfectionsThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of a new conjugate vaccine, NmVac4-A/C/Y/W-135-DT, compared to the safety of a similar, licensed meningococcal A/C/Y/W-135-DT conjugate vaccine. The investigators will also evaluate the production of antibodies to of NmVac4-A/C/Y/W-135-DT™ conjugate vaccine compared to the licensed vaccine, as a measure of vaccine effectiveness.

InfectionsMeningococcalThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity, safety and reactogenicity of one dose of four different formulations of the MenACWY conjugate vaccine when given to healthy subjects aged 15-19 years. The selection of the best formulation will be based on data obtained up to one month after the vaccine dose.
Safety and Immunogenicity of a Quadrivalent Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine When Administered Concomitantly...
Healthy Volunteers (Meningococcal Infection)Primary Objective: To describe the vaccine seroprotection (antibody titer greater than or equal to [>=] 1:8) to the antigens (meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W) present in MenACYW Conjugate vaccine or Menveo® measured by serum bactericidal assay using human complement (hSBA), for Groups 1 and 2 when administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines in healthy infants and toddlers in Mexico. To describe the vaccine seroprotection (antibody titer >=1:8) to the antigens (meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W) present in MenACYW Conjugate vaccine measured by hSBA, for Group 3, when administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines in healthy infants and toddlers in the Russian Federation. Secondary Objective: To describe hSBA vaccine seroresponse to the antigens (meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W) 30 days after the last vaccination of the infant series, when administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines in healthy infants and toddlers in Mexico and Russian Federation (RF). To describe immunogenicity profile of routine pediatric vaccines when administered concomitantly with MenACYW Conjugate vaccine or Menveo®; or when administered alone. To describe hSBA antibody responses against meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W when MenACYW Conjugate vaccine and Menveo® are administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines in Mexico and RF. To describe antibody titers to the antigens present in MenACYW Conjugate vaccine and Menveo®, before the first vaccination and 30 days after the last vaccination of the infant series and in the second year of life, when administered concomitantly with routine pediatric vaccines in a subset of participants in Mexico and RF.
Study of an Investigational Quadrivalent Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine Administered in Children...
MeningitisMeningococcal Meningitis1 moreThe purpose of the study was to evaluate the immunogenicity and describe the safety of Meningococcal Polysaccharide (Serogroups A, C, Y and W) Tetanus Toxoid (MenACYW) Conjugate vaccine compared to the licensed Meningococcal (Groups A, C, Y and W 135) Oligosaccharide Diphtheria CRM197 (MENVEO®) vaccine in children 2 to 9 years of age in the United States (US) and Puerto Rico. Primary objective: - To demonstrate the non-inferiority of the vaccine seroresponse to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of a single dose of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine compared to that observed following the administration of a single dose of MENVEO® in children aged 2 to 9 years. Secondary objectives: To compare the serum bactericidal assay using human complement (hSBA) antibody geometric mean titers (GMTs) of meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine to those observed following the administration of MENVEO® in children 2 to 9 years of age. To evaluate the hSBA antibody GMTs of meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine and those observed following the administration of MENVEO® in children 2 to 5 years of age, and in children 6 to 9 years of age, respectively. To evaluate the hSBA vaccine seroresponse to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W before and 30 days (+14 days) post-vaccination in children 2 to 5 years of age, and in children 6 to 9 years of age, respectively. Observational objective: - To describe the safety profile of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine and that of the licensed MENVEO®.
South Australian Meningococcal B Vaccine Herd Immunity Study
Meningococcal DiseaseTo estimate the effect on carriage, all year 10, 11, and 12 students will be offered 4CMenB vaccination in South Australia through schools over the study period with 50% of the students enrolled receiving the vaccine in 2017 and 50% in 2018. In year 10 and 11 students, posterior pharyngeal swabs will be obtained at baseline and 12 months post baseline to estimate the difference in carriage prevalence of all genogroups of N. meningitidis between vaccinated and unvaccinated participants.
