Hippocampal Sparing Whole Brain Radiotherapy vs Conventional Whole Brain Radiotherapy in Patients...
Brain MetastasesThe purpose of this study is to evaluate whether sparing the hippocampi during whole brain radiotherapy following neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery in patients with brain metastases from a systemic tumour helps preserve brain function.
A Study of Necitumumab and Abemaciclib in Participants With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
CarcinomaNon-Small-Cell Lung1 moreThis is medical research evaluating the safety and efficacy of two new medicines (necitumumab and abemaciclib), administered in combination in participants affected by a defined type of advanced lung cancer (stage IV non-small-cell lung cancer).
CAR-T Hepatic Artery Infusions and Sir-Spheres for Liver Metastases

Regorafenib in Combination With Paclitaxel in Advanced Oesophagogastric Carcinoma
Esophageal NeoplasmsStomach Neoplasms1 morePatients with advanced oesophagogastric cancer (OCG) have a very poor prognosis. After progression on first line therapy, second line chemotherapy with paclitaxel and a VEGF-R2 targeting antibody has a proven benefit on survival. However, no data are available on the combination of paclitaxel with kinase inhibitors in advanced OGC. Here the investigators propose a Phase 1b study to assess the tolerability of regorafenib (an oral multi kinase inhibitor) in combination with paclitaxel and to assess the uptake of paclitaxel in OCG metastasis.
Radiofrquency Ablation Combined With Cytokine-induced Killer Cells for Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastases...
Colorectal CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine whether combining of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) transfusion can prolong survival of patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRCLM).

Safety and Efficacy Study of MIS416 to Treat Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
Secondary Progressive Multiple SclerosisThe purpose of this study is to determine whether MIS416 administered once weekly over 12 months is safe, tolerable, and improves a range of signs and symptoms associated with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis.
BrUOG L301 With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer and Bone Metastases
Non Small Cell Lung Cancer With Bone MetastatsesIn this study patient's will receive the medicine Xofigo which is a radioactive drug that is FDA approved to treat prostate cancer that has spread to the bones. Xofigo has not previously been tested to treat lung cancer that has spread to the bones. Your doctors are studying the effects, good and bad, of Xofigo when used to treat lung cancer that has spread to the bones.
The Addition of Nab-paclitaxel (Abraxane) to First Line Treatment of Metastasized Oesophagogastric...
Esophageal CancerToxicityOesophagogastric cancer is a major cause of cancer related mortality, with an overall 5-year survival rate of 10% worldwide and patients are often diagnosed with locally advanced or metastasized disease at first presentation. For advanced oesophagogastric cancer fluoropyrimidines are the backbone of palliative chemotherapy and is commonly used in 2- or 3-drug combinations . However, in clinical practice after progression on first line therapy, a substantial number of oesophagogastric cancer patients may not be able to start second line chemotherapy due to rapid clinical deterioration. Therefore, new triplets with high anti-tumor activity and low toxicity are urgently needed. Given the activity of capecitabine and oxaliplatin containing regimens and the potential of taxanes in oesophagogastric cancer, the investigators propose a phase I study combining capecitabine and oxaliplatin with Nab-paclitaxel. Solvent-based taxanes (paclitaxel, docetaxel) can cause severe toxicities not only by the active agents itself but also by the solvents like cremophor. Nab-paclitaxel (Abraxane) is a solvent-free formulation of paclitaxel encapsulated in albumin. It does not require premedication with corticosteroids or antihistamines to prevent the risk of solvent-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. This new formulation improves safety profile, allows higher dosing with shorter infusion duration, and produces higher tumor drug concentration. It has proven activity in breast cancer, non small lung cancer and pancreatic cancer, as well as in gastric cancer models.
Reducing Secondary Distress in Violence Researchers: a Randomised Trial of the Effectiveness of...
Emotional DistressThe objectives of the study were: To (1) describe the epidemiology of emotional distress experienced by Ugandan violence researchers; to (2) assess the effectiveness of group debriefings in mitigating secondary distress; to (3) assess risk and protective factors. Eligible participants were 59 Ugandan researchers employed by the Good Schools Study (GSS, NCT01678846) to interview children and adults who experienced violence. Recruited participants were randomly assigned to group debriefings (intervention) or film viewing (control). The primary outcome was change in levels of emotional distress.
