Severe Heart Failure and Homebased Rehabilitation - An Intersectoral Randomized Controlled Trial...

Chronic Heart FailureHeart Failure NYHA Class II2 more

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of an early, coordinated rehabilitation intervention for patients with severe heart failure in NYHA class III and IV with a ejection fraction of <40% of normal cardiac function measured on frequency of readmissions, physical ability and participation in activities of daily living and quality of life.

Renal Artery Denervation in Chronic Heart Failure Study

Chronic Systolic Heart Failure

The REACH study, is a prospective, double-blinded, randomised, controlled study of the safety and effectiveness of renal denervation in subjects with chronic systolic heart failure. Bilateral denervation will be performed using the Symplicity Catheter - a percutaneous system that delivers radio frequency (RF) energy through the luminal surface of the renal artery.

Renal Sympathetic Denervation for Patients With Chronic Heart Failure

Chronic Heart Failure

To study whether renal sympathetic denervation(RSD) RSD can slow the progression of CHF and reduce the rate of all-cause mortality effectively and securely.

Survival Study of the Recombinant Human Neuregulin-1β in Subjects With Chronic Heart Failure.

Chronic Heart Failure

The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficacy of rhNRG-1 in reducing the death rate of heart failure subjects with baseline NT-proBNP level between 600 pg/ml and 1700 pg/mL and NYHA class II to III.

Early or Non-revoked in Hospital-day in Patients With Acute Heart Failure

Heart FailureAcute Heart Failure

Heart failure is one of the major causes of hospitalization in Brazil and worldwide. Recent studies attempt to identify readmission and prognostic markers at the time of discharge from these patients. The reassessment and possibility of early therapeutic adjustment may be relevant in this context. Therefore, the prospective and randomized comparative use of early re-evaluation in Hospital-day versus non-intervention group has not yet been described. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact on the re-hospitalization rate in 30 days of the early re-evaluation of the patients in the day-hospital versus the non-intervention group in heart failure. For this, a unicentric, randomized and prospective study will be performed, in which the Hospital-Day strategy is performed versus no intervention in a comparative manner. Hospital data (test results, medical outcomes, complications) of patients will be analyzed for safety and effectiveness. The hypothesis of this study is that the Hospital-Day strategy is superior to the non-intervention strategy and causes fewer rehospitalizations within 30 days.

Reprieve ADHF EFS IDE

Congestive Heart Failure

This is a prospective, single arm, early feasibility study (EFS) designed to evaluate the safety and device performance of The RenalGuard System in the management of patients admitted with signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure who require diuresis for the treatment of volume overload.

A Study to Evaluate the Effects of EECP in Patients With Heart Failure

Heart Failure

The aims of this proposal are to investigate whether external enhanced counterpulsation (EECP) can facilitate heart failure (HF) patient weaning from intravenous infusion of positive inotropic agent, and thus decrease the length of hospital stay. The major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE) rate, including death and hospitalization for heart failure, will be monitored for 6 months if patients can be released from hospital. Exercise tolerance (6-minute walking distance) and plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) level will be checked at the end of 6th month.

Acetazolamide in Patients With Acute Heart Failure

Heart FailureAcute Heart Failure

Introduction: Recent studies have suggested that the use of acetazolamide may assist in the vol- ume management of patients with decompensated heart failure (HF). However, prospective and randomized comparison in patients with HF and optimized diuretic therapy has not been described. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the use of acetazolamide versus placebo in volume control in patients with decompensated HF. Methodology: For this, a unicentric, randomized, double blind and prospective study will be performed in a comparative manner. Hospital data (test results, medical outcomes, drug dose, complications) of patients will be analyzed for safety and effectiveness. Expected results: The use of acetazolamide as an adjuvant treatment is superior to the standard strategy for volume control in patients with decompensated HF.

Baduanjin Exercise for Patients With Chronic Heart Failure on Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation With CHF; NYHA Class I or II

Chronic heart failure (CHF) is the end stage of various kinds of cardiovascular diseases with high mortality. After a long period of medical treatment or surgical treatment, patients suffered great pain physically and mentally. How to improve the quality of life and prognosis in patients with CHF, which is a hot topic in the field of cardiac rehabilitation now. Baduanjin, as one of the traditional Chinese qigong exercises, has the features of generous stretch, soft consistency, dynamic but static, which is an appropriate movement pattern for CHF patients. To investigate the efficacy and safety of Baduanjin exercise for patients with coronary heart disease complicated with chronic heart failure (CHF). A randomized, controlled and prospective clinical trial was designed.
