MODULA-Study: Modul 10: Benefit of CRT-Therapy in CRT-Patients With QRS-Complex of 120 - 150 Ms...

Heart Failure

The purpose of this study is to compare the benefit of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT)-therapy in patients with a QRS-complex of 120-150 ms to patients with a QRS-complex of > 150 ms.

Early Assessment of Anthracycline-induced Cardiotoxicity (CARDIOTOX)

LymphomaHeart Failure1 more

Anthracycline-based chemotherapy is a key point of the treatment of patients with Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. However, cumulative doses are limited by cardiotoxicity, resulting in a marked left ventricular function impairment that may lead to heart failure. The standard clinical approach to monitoring for anthracycline cardiotoxicity is based on cardiac function monitoring using echocardiography or radionuclide angiography. The aim of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of biochemical markers of cardiac injury (troponin and NT-proBNP) and structural changes on cardiac MR in predicting anthracycline cardiotoxicity.

Evaluating Mobile Health Tool Use for Capturing Patient-centered Outcomes Measures in HF Patients...

Heart Failure

Heart Failure (HF) is a highly prevalent disease that also carries high morbidity and mortality. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recognizes the importance of developing patient-centric endpoints that are relevant to patients beyond mortality and hospitalizations. Although functional status can be objectively measured by peak exercise oxygen consumption, it is difficult and impractical to implement in large clinical studies, especially in an ambulatory real-world setting. Recently, new mobile health technologies have emerged as clinical tools and offer an opportunity to overcome these challenges in measuring functional capacity and recording symptoms. The goal of this observational study is to evaluate the feasibility of monitoring functional capacity among patients with heart failure (HF) using mobile health monitoring platforms. Everion® and Apple Watch Series 4 and above will be used for this study. The BiovitalsHF® mobile app can capture patients' key cardiopulmonary physiological parameters, functional capacity (using activity patterns, including guided mobile-based 6MWT, audio recording) and assessment of QoL through validated PROs.

His Bundle Recording From Subclavian Vein

Atrial FibrillationCongestive Heart Failure

His bundle pacing has been proposed as a superior alternative to standard right ventricular pacing. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether obtaining a His Bundle recording from the subclavian vein using a stylet driven pacemaker lead and commercially available sheath can be done in a quick and reliable manner. This would support the use of stylet driven leads for His bundle pacing.

Inpatient Mortality Prediction Algorithm Clinical Trial (IMPACT)

DecompensationHeart3 more

Through the mapping of retrospective patient data into a discrete multidimensional space, a novel algorithm for homeostatic analysis, was built to make outcome predictions. In this prospective study, the ability of the algorithm to predict patient mortality and influence clinical outcomes, will be investigated.

MultiPoint Pacing Mapping Study

Heart Failure

The purpose of this study is to characterize left ventricular acute hemodynamic and electrical responses during cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) with different Multipoint Pacing (MPP) settings, and assess the relationship between electrical activation patterns and hemodynamic measurements during these pacing settings.

Prevalence of Sleep Disordered Breathing

Unstable AnginaAcute Myocardial Infarction1 more

A novel technique in identifying unspecified sleep apnea has been developed. This technique uses signals typical acquired from a bedside monitor that is found in critical care environments. Those signals are then processed by a sleep analysis algorithm to provide an Apnoea Hypopnea Index (AHI) score. This study is intended to determine whether the prevalence of sleep disordered breathing identification among patients in a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) using this novel approach is significantly different than using routine techniques.

Cardiovascular Diagnosis Using µ-Cor - an Interventional Pilot Trial

Congestive Heart Failure

Subjects that are being treated at the Congestive Heart Failure clinic in Nazareth will be given the µ-Cor system to be added to their standard care, and randomized 1:1 to an interventional arm or a control arm.

Global Non-interventional Heart Failure Disease Registry

Acute Heart Failure

The clinical characteristics, initial presentation, management, and outcomes of patients hospitalized with new-onset (first diagnosis) heart failure (HF) or decompensation of chronic HF are poorly understood worldwide. REPORT-HF is a global, prospective, and observational HF disease registry designed to characterize patient trajectories longitudinally during and following an index hospitalization for acute HF.
