A Prospective Evaluation of Contrast Sensitivity and Disability Glare in Refractive Surgery, a Sub-Study...
MyopiaThe purpose of this study is to conduct a prospective assessment of small target contrast sensitivity and disability glare in refractive surgery. Study subjects will undergo the treatment of their choice (PRK or LASIK) and will be evaluated before and after treatment. Evaluations will include best corrected visual acuity, uncorrected visual acuity, psychometric questionnaire, pupil size, biomicroscopic examination, manifest refraction, wavefront measurements, low contrast acuity, and contrast sensitivity at normal and at low luminance with and without disability glare.
PMCF Study on SMILE Treatment of Myopia With and Without Astigmatism
MyopiaAstigmatismThe primary objective of this PMCF investigation is to systematically collect safety and effectiveness data with the VISUMAX 800 laser in clinical daily routine SMILE use for the purpose of post market surveillance.
OCTA Analysis of Macular and Papillary Perfusion After Refractive Surgery in Myopes
MyopiaPerfusion; ComplicationsRefractive surgery for correction of myopia is very common nowadays. However, various refractive techniques may be associated with increase in the IOP, especially during flap creation. It is assumed that marked intraoperative IOP increase lead to macular and optic disc head circulation compromise. The purpose of this study is to assess the change of macular and papillary perfusion, using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) imaging of the macula and optic disc of myopic patients before and after various refractive surgery methods.
Eye Exercise, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Prevention of Myopia Progression
MyopiaIn Taiwan, the increasing prevalence of myopia shows a decline with age. Myopia has become a serious ocular problem in children because high myopia may lead to retinal damage, cataract and glaucoma. A prevention of myopia progression (PMP) will be developed and examined. This promotion program includes strategies such as a frequency following response, eye exercise, and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation on the prevention of myopia progression. Eye exercise defined as a computerized image led motion. The study aims to examine the effect of the implementation on the PMP.
A Clinical Comparison of Two Daily Disposable Soft Contact Lenses
MyopiaThis double-masked, randomized, bilateral, crossover, direct refit study compared the clinical performance of two daily disposable contact lenses (somofilcon A and stenfilcon A) when fitted to existing wearers of comfilcon A monthly lenses.
The Effect of Treatment Zone Decentration on Axial Length Elongation After Orthokeratology
MyopiaOrthokeratologyOrthokeratology lens is an effective method for myopia control. This study analyzed the effects of treatment zone decentration on axial length elongation in adolescents with orthokeratology lens.
