Pembrolizumab for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients With Detectable Plasma Epstein-Barr Virus DNA...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThis is a single-arm, multi-center, open-label, phase II trial to examine the efficacy of pembrolizumab for prolonging the one-year disease free survival in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with solely detectable EBV DNA after curative chemoradiation. Sixty-three patients will be enrolled in the trial.
Avelumab for Recurrent/Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Cancer
Nasopharyngeal CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine whether avelumab, an investigational antibody against programmed death-ligand (PD-L1), has an effect on recurrent nasopharyngeal cancer. Avelumab is designed to block the interaction between programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), a known immune checkpoint, and PD-L1. By blocking this interaction, the immune system may be stimulated, allowing it to more effectively recognize and attack the cancer.
Transoral Robotic Surgery in Treating Patients With Benign or Stage I-IV Head and Neck Cancer
Recurrent Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Oral CavityRecurrent Lymphoepithelioma of the Nasopharynx53 moreRATIONALE: Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) is a less invasive type of surgery for head and neck cancer and may have fewer side effects and improve recovery. PURPOSE: This clinical trial studies how transoral robotic surgery works in treating patients with benign or stage I-IV head and neck cancer.
A Phase III Study of Radiotherapy With or Without Adjuvant C/T in Advanced Stage Nasopharyngeal...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaTo investigate the efficacy of adjuvant PFL chemotherapy after radiotherapy vs radiotherapy alone in AJC stage IV nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The endpoints of the study includes : overall survival, relapse free survival, distant metastasis and local-regional control rates. To evaluate the toxicities of the two treatment methods.
Nedaplatin Combined With Gemcitabine in the Treatment of Recurrent and/or Metastatic Nasopharyngeal...
Recurrent and Metastatic Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThe purpose of this single arm, phase Ⅱ clinical trail is to determine the safety and efficacy of nedaplatin combined with gemcitabine in the treatment of recurrent and metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Circulating Tumor DNA in Predicting Outcomes in Patients With Stage IV Head and Neck Cancer or Stage...
Metastatic Squamous Neck Cancer With Occult Primary Squamous Cell CarcinomaSalivary Gland Squamous Cell Carcinoma28 moreThis pilot research trial studies circulating tumor deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in predicting outcomes in patients with stage IV head and neck cancer or stage III-IV non-small cell lung cancer. Studying circulating tumor DNA from patients with head and neck or lung cancer in the laboratory may help doctors predict how well patients will respond to treatment.
SOX as Salvage Treatment in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaThe aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of SOX regimen (S-1 plus oxaliplatin) as salvage treatment in patients with relapsed or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Atorvastatin in Preventing Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients Receiving Radiotherapy From Carotid...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaRadiation Therapy ComplicationPatients with head and neck cancer who underwent irradiation have a higher risk of developing severe carotid stenosis, and eventually develop to transient ischemic attack or stroke. However, it's still not clear whether early intervene in vascular risk factors is benefit for patients after radiotherapy. Our study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and safety of atorvastatin for preventing NPC patients after radiotherapy from severe carotid stenosis. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, about 324 nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients will be enrolled from six centers in Guangdong Province and randomized 1:1 to atorvastatin group or placebo group.
Intratumoral PV701 in Treating Patients With Advanced or Recurrent Unresectable Squamous Cell Carcinoma...
Recurrent Salivary Gland CancerRecurrent Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Hypopharynx20 morePhase I trial to study the effectiveness of intratumoral (in the tumor) PV701 in treating patients who have advanced or recurrent unresectable squamous cell carcinoma (cancer) of the head and neck. Vaccines made from a specially-modified virus such as PV701 may make the body build an immune response to kill tumor cells while leaving normal cells undamaged. Injecting PV701 directly into the tumor may cause a stronger immune response and kill more tumor cells
Phase 1/2a Study of VK-2019 in Patients With Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV)-Positive Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma...
Nasopharyngeal CarcinomaNasopharyngeal CancerVK-2019-001 is a 1/2a trial of the oral EBNA-1 targeting agent VK-2019 in patients with EBV-positive recurrent or metastatic NPC to determine the Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) and Recommended Phase 2 Dose (RP2D), as well as to evaluate the PK profile of VK-2019.
