Fluorine-18-α-Methyltyrosine Positron Emission Tomography (18F-FMT PET) for Therapy Response in...

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

L-[3-18F]-α-methyltyrosine (18F-FMT) is an amino-acid tracer for positron emission tomography (PET). The investigators evaluated the value of 18F-FMT PET for the assessment of therapy response in patients with lung cancer as compared with that of 2-[18F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18F-FDG) PET. The patients with lung cancer underwent PET studies with 18F-FDG and 18F-FMT before and after radio-/chemotherapy. The investigators used the ratio of the SUVmax of the mediastinal (N2) lymph node to the SUVmax of the primary tumor (N/P ratio ). All patients were divided into two groups of N/P ratio<1 and N/P ratio≥1, and the survival time was estimated by Kaplan-Meier method.

Frailty Index and Geriatric Assessment in Predicting Toxicity to Front-Line Chemotherapy in Treating...

Recurrent Non-small Cell Lung CancerStage IV Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

This phase II trial is studying how well a frailty index and geriatric assessment works in predicting toxicity to front-line chemotherapy in treating patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer. A frailty index and geriatric assessment prior to treatment may help identify a better treatment regimen

A Study of Prevalence of HER3 Expression in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

There is currently a lack of published HER3 expression prevalence data among non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. The estimation of HER3 expression prevalence in this population using archival tissue samples and the assessment of associated patient characteristics in real world (RW) data will ultimately inform clinical strategy and increase awareness among health care providers (HCPs) and the greater medical community to improve patient care.

Efficacy of Nebulized Pulmicort Respules in Primary Lung Cancer Patients With COPD

Post Operative ComplicationPulmonary2 more

To test the hypothesis that nebulized Pulmicort Respules could reduce post operation pulmonary complication incidence in primary lung cancer patients with COPD. Compare post-operation pulmonary complication incidence in two treatment arms among primary lung cancer patients with COPD required single lobectomy from 3days before operation to 7 days after operation.

COPDGene/Lung Cancer Center Database

Lung CancerCOPD

The COPDGene® / Lung Cancer Database Study is a nested case-control study. This study is an ancillary study to COPDGene® Phase 1 and Phase 2. Lung cancer cases, which have been reported by COPDGene® subjects since the time of COPDGene® study enrollment, will be retrospectively verified with additional medical data collection pertaining to lung cancer. Additional 'control' subjects will also be identified and verified as a 'no lung cancer controls'. Data previously collected through the COPDGene® Study, including QCT results and clinical results (medication use, rate of acute exacerbations of COPD, etc) will be used as variables for analysis.

HD+ I-scan Bronchoscopy Vascular Abnormalities Detection Multicenter Study

Lungcancer

Videobronchoscopy is an essential diagnostic procedure for evaluation of the central airways and pivotal for the diagnosis and staging of lung cancer. Further technological improvements have resulted in high definition (HD+) images and advanced image enhancement technique (i-scan). An earlier study (NCT01676012) has indicated that HD+ bronchoscopy in combination with i-scan technology is superior to HD+WL (white light) for detecting endobronchial vascular changes. In this study we aim to correlate these vascular changes to histology and hypothesize that these vascular changes are related to (pre-) malignant changes and that the addition of i-scan is superior to HD+ WL.
