S1300: Pemetrexed Disodium With or Without Crizotinib in Treating Patients With Stage IV Non-Small...

Adenocarcinoma of the LungLarge Cell Lung Cancer2 more

This randomized phase II trial studies how well pemetrexed disodium with or without crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer that has progressed after crizotinib. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed disodium, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether giving pemetrexed disodium is more effective with or without crizotinib in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer that has progressed after crizotinib.

Pazopanib in Molecularly Selected Patients With Advanced NSCLC

CarcinomaNon-Small Cell Lung2 more

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how participants with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that have certain abnormalities in the pazopanib target genes respond to pazopanib treatment.

Proton Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for Early-Stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is a special form of treatment which pinpoints high doses of radiation directly to cancer. Standard radiation (or photon radiation) is commonly used for SBRT to treat Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Proton beam radiation is a special type of radiation only available at a few institutions in the US and has not been previously used in SBRT to treat NSCLC. The use of protons for SBRT may improve the accuracy of the treatment and may help to minimize the dose delivered unnecessarily to healthy tissue. In this study, the investigators are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of proton-based SBRT for early-stage NSCLC located in the periphery of the lung.

Chloroquine as an Anti-autophagic Radiosensitizing Drug in Stage I-III Small Cell Lung Cancer

Small Cell Lung Cancer

Chloroquine can make tumor cells less resistant to chemo/radiotherapy. In this trial chloroquine is given during radiotherapy. The dose is increased in cohorts of at least 3 patients.

A Vaccine Trial for Patients With Stage IIIB, IV, or Recurrent Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

The purpose of this study is to determine the dose that the vaccine can be given safely to patients when injected directly into the lung tumor, without any serious side effects.

Efficacy Study of AuroLase Therapy in Subjects With Primary and/or Metastatic Lung Tumors

Primary or Metastatic Lung Tumors

This is an open-label, single-center, single-dose efficacy pilot study of AuroLase Therapy in the treatment of subjects with primary and/or metastatic tumors of the lung where there is airway obstruction. In this study patients will be given a systemic IV infusion of particles and a subsequent escalating dose of laser radiation delivered by optical fiber via bronchoscopy.

Study of Sorafenib Maintenance in Patients With ED-SCLC After Response to Induction Chemotherapy...

Small Cell Lung Cancer

A Phase I trial of weekly topotecan in combination with sorafenib in treatment of relapsed Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) has been commenced. In the present randomized phase 2 study, the investigators will research whether Sorafenib maintenance prolongs progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with ED-SCLC who achieved CR or PR after platinum-based induction chemotherapy.

Lung CancerNon-Small Cell

The purpose of this clinical study is to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the immunotherapeutic product GSK 2302032A when given to Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) patients, after tumor removal by surgery.

Recurrent Non-small Cell Lung CancerStage IIIB Non-small Cell Lung Cancer1 more

This phase II trial is studying how well RO4929097 works in treating patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who have recently completed treatment with front-line chemotherapy. RO4929097 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
