Phase II Trial of Dose-dense Paclitaxel and Cisplatin as Neo-adjuvant Chemotherapy for Operable...
Non-Small Cell Lung CancerA single arm, open-label phase II is appropriate to evaluate the efficacy and safety of dose - dense combination of paclitaxel with cisplatin supported by pegfilgrastim for neo-adjuvant chemotherapy in this patient population.

Amrubicin Study for Elderly Patients With Extensive-disease Small-cell Lung Cancer (ED-SCLC)
Small-cell Lung CancerThe purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and toxicity of amrubicin with carboplatin plus etoposide in elderly patients with extensive-disease small-cell lung cancer.

Whole-Brain Radiation Therapy and Pemetrexed in Treating Patients With Brain Metastases From Non-Small...
Lung CancerMetastatic CancerRATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Pemetrexed may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving radiation therapy together with pemetrexed may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving whole-brain radiation therapy together with pemetrexed works in treating patients with brain metastases from non-small cell lung cancer.

A Phase 2 Study Evaluating ABT-751 in Combination With Taxotere in Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung...
Lung CancerNon-Small Cell Lung CancerTo determine the efficacy of ABT-751 when administered in combination with standard docetaxel in subjects with advanced or metastatic NSCLC.

Carboplatin, Gemcitabine, and Thalidomide in Patients Undergoing Surgery for Stage II or III Non-Small...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Thalidomide may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving carboplatin and gemcitabine together with thalidomide before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving carboplatin and gemcitabine together with thalidomide works in treating patients who are undergoing surgery for stage II or stage III non-small cell lung cancer.

Phase II Docetaxel / Carboplatin / XRT + Surgical Resection in Stage III NSCLC
Lung CancerCarcinoma1 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess how well this particular combination of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery works to help people with locally advanced lung cancer, how well PET scans indicates whether someone has responded to chemotherapy and radiation, and gene expression patterns related to outcomes in patients with locally advanced lung cancer who receive this treatment regimen.

A Survival Study for Women With Advanced Lung Cancer Who Have Not Previously Received Chemotherapy....
NSCLCThis is a randomized, open-label, multinational, phase III study in women with histologically- or cytologically-confirmed advanced NSCLC who are chemotherapy naïve and have PS 2. Study drug will be administered on day 1 of each 21 day cycle

Elderly NSCLC/D vs DP (JCOG0207)
Non-small-cell Lung CancerTo evaluate the efficacy of docetaxel-cisplatin combination in comparison to docetaxel alone for elderly patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer.

Pemetrexed in Patients With Chemosensitive and Chemoresistant Relapsed Small Cell Lung Cancer
Small Cell Lung CancerPatients with relapsed or chemotherapy-refractory SCLC have a dismal prognosis. Unfortunately, available treatments result in few durable responses. Pemetrexed is a well-tolerated agent, which is active in NSCLC. Since chemotherapy agents, which are active in NSCLC, are usually also active in SCLC, this trial will examine the efficacy and activity of pemetrexed in this palliative setting

S0122: Combination Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and Vaccine Therapy in Limited-Stage Small Cell...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Vaccines may make the body build an immune response to kill tumor cells. Combining chemotherapy and radiation therapy with vaccine therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining chemotherapy and radiation therapy with vaccine therapy in treating patients who have limited-stage small cell lung cancer.
