Comparison of Methods of Lumbar Sympathetic Ganglion Block: Distance vs Angle

Lumbar Sympathetic Ganglion Block Indication: Neuropathic PainCRPS1 more

Lumbar sympathetic ganglion block is used for several neuropathic pain syndromes. The best method of lumbar sympathetic ganglion block is not established. The investigators would compare two methods of lumbar sympathetic ganglion block. One is modified Reid method which's entry point is 7~7.5cm from midline of spinous process of lumbar spine. The other is angular method which's entry angle is 30 degree from anterior-posterior view of C-arm. Comparison modified Reid method with angular method would be helpful for finding best method of lumbar sympathetic ganglion block.

The Effect of N2O on Chronic Neuropathic Pain Patients

Neuropathic Pain

Important pharmacological agents for treatment of chronic neuropathic pain such as ketamine block NMDA receptors. Nitrous oxide, an inhalant agent used extensively In anesthesia, also have antagonist property of NMDA receptors. The investigators hypothesize that prolonged treatment with N2O can alleviate chronic neuropathic pain of different causes (e.g. diabetic neuropathy, post herpetic neuralgia etc.).

Longitudinal Experimental Study on ULNTT and Cervico-Thoracic Spine Motion Patterns Relationship...

Cervicobrachial Neuralgia

Study Design: Longitudinal Experimental Study Objective: Analyze the relationship between Upper Limb Neural Tension Test (ULNTT1) and cervico-thoracic spine biomechanics using a new motion-capture spine movement data analyzing model based on Least Square Approximation. Summary of Background Data: ULNTT1 is a test able to determine cervical nerve roots and brachial plexus displacement within their interface structures. No studies were conducted about ULNTT1 and cervico-thoracic spine motion patterns relationship. Methods: 12 subjects with ULNTT1 asymmetry > 10° (AS group) and 11 subjects with ULNTT1 symmetry (S group) at clinical tests will be enrolled for the study. Subjects will be analyzed for ULNTT1 with an electrogoniometer using two parameters, one operator and one patient-dependent. Fine lateral bending cervico-thoracic spine motion patterns will be collected with motion-capturing technique and data will be analyzed with Least Square Approximation tools. Subjects with impairments in cervico-thoracic spine mobility will undergo to correction of those with spinal manipulative therapy. ULNTT1 and spine mobility will be so re-evaluated with same methods.

Recovering Damaged Cells for Sequelae Caused by COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2

Sequelae of; InfectionPost Infection Glomerulonephritis18 more

Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection can cause multiple system function disorders, and complicated symptoms last for an extended period. The virus can cause this continued infection, or the virus causes immune system function disorder and post-infectious autoimmune disease. The clinical symptoms can be smell loss, taste loss to liver function disorder, kidney function failure, different. No matter how complicated the systems showed in the clinic, all of the symptoms are due to the specific cells being damaged. Our clinical study is focused on recovering the damaged structure and function of the cells that could restore the organ function back to normal or close to normal

Evaluation of Five Selected Markers in Skin Biopsies of Patients With Postherpetic Neuralgia and...

Postherpetic NeuralgiaHealthy Age/Gender Matched Volunteers

Postherpetic Neuralgia is a painful nerve condition that can occur when nerve fibers are damaged following an outbreak of shingles. The purpose of this study is to identify and study abnormalities in the nerves and cells in the of patients with postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN) and characterize changes that could be responsible for causing nerve pain. This data will be compared to the tissue of healthy volunteers. Our goal is that this information will lead to the development of better treatment options for people with painful nerve conditions.

An Evaluation of the Effect of a Surface Acoustic Wave Patch Device on the Symptons of Trigeminal...

Trigeminal Neuralgia

This is a double blinded randomized control trial of a Surface Acoustic Wave Patch device for the treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia. This will be a crossover study for the group that receives the sham device. Subjects will be monitored for subjective criteria of pain and quality of life, as well as objective measurement of analgesic usage.

Study of Integrity of Down Inhibitor Bundle at Patients Suffering of Neuropathic Pain

Healthy VolunteersPatients Suffering of Peripheral Neuropathic Pain

Several studies showed that activity of down inhibitor bundle is weakened in different painful pathologies as the fibromyalgy or the trigeminal nevralgy. The purpose of the protocol is to study the working of down inhibitor bundle at patients suffering of neuropathic pain.
