Anxiety, Pain et Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI) in Palliative Care
PainAnxiety1 moreThe main objective of this study is to evaluate the correlation between ANI and pain scores and the correlation of ANI and anxiety scores in communicative patients in palliative care. The chosen event with a risk of pain and/or anxiety is the first bed bath after admission. The secondary objectives aim to identify ANI score thresholds which would be predictive of pain and/or anxiety and to figure out some individual factors influencing ANI scores.
The Epidemiology, Management, and the Associated Burden of Related Conditions in Alopecia Areata...
Alopecia AreataDepressive Episode34 moreThis study series consists of four related studies and aims to explore and describe many important elements of alopecia areata over three key areas: (1) the current epidemiology of alopecia areata, (2) the prevalence and incidence of psychiatric co-morbidities in people with alopecia areata, (3) the prevalence and incidence of autoimmune and atopic conditions in people with alopecia areata, and (4) the incidence of common infections in people with alopecia areata.
Prospective Study of the Evaluation of Disease contRol and the Quality of Life of Patients With...
DepressionAnxiety DisordersDepression is a psychiatric disorder that affects mood, thoughts and is usually accompanied by physical annoyances. It affects the person's eating habits, his sleep, the way he sees himself and the way he thinks and understands. Depressed emotion has great tension, lasts longer and leads to a reduction in the person's functioning in many areas of his life. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is the psychiatric disorder characterized by a multitude of diverse organic responses as well as a generalized, persistent and indeterminate anxiety that covers almost all of the individual's activities. It is a diffuse and intense negative mood and anxiety that is present for most of the day and whose exact causes are often undetectable.
Usefulness of a Visual Analogue Scale to Evaluate Anxiety in the Painful Hospitalized Patient
PainAnxietyToday, there is no simple tool for measuring patient anxiety. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) to measure anxiety in painful hospitalized patients, and to correlate it to STAI-Ya and HAD-7A auto questionnaires.
The Effect of Occupational Therapy on Anxiety, Depression, and Psychological Well-Being Symptoms...
The Effect of Occupational Therapy on AnxietyDepression1 moreParticipants were assigned to intervention and control groups according to the randomization list previously prepared by the researchers. All participants were first informed about the study and their informed consent was obtained. Participant Information Form, Geriatric Anxiety Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale, and Geriatric Depression Scale were filled out by all participants. The elderly in the intervention group were divided into 5 groups of 10 and a time was determined for the session in cooperation with the participants in each subgroup. A 60-minute therapy session was administered by the occupational expert. The applications were carried out in a total of 7 sessions as a daily session. The control group was not subjected to any application. Geriatric Anxiety Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale, and Geriatric Depression Scale were refilled for the second time in all elderly on the 7th day after the application.
Evaluation of Effects of CBD Products on Anxiety Among U.S. Women
AnxietyGeneralized Anxiety DisorderThe investigators will conduct a retrospective cohort analysis of a consumer trial conducted by Rae Wellness. The trial took place between October 15, 2020 and December 30, 2020 and involved 1350 U.S. women who used in-home use tests (IHUT) of various Cannabidiol (CBD) products. Participants were randomized to one of 9 groups: 8 groups received one of 8 different CBD products in the mail, and one group served as the control and did not consume any CBD product. The CBD products varied by method of delivery, concentration of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and dosage of CBD. Participants were asked to use the product once daily for 60 day and to complete health questionnaires at baseline, 30 days and 60 days.
Locating Regions of Interest in Generalized Anxiety Disorder Using Function Magnetic Resonance Imaging...
Generalized Anxiety DisorderThe investigators are seeking to locate the brain regions of interest in generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) using both structural (sMRI) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The MRI will be used to measure changes in blood flow in the brain while at rest and while completing tasks designed to elicit symptoms of anxiety. Results from a nonclinical control group and a GAD group will be compared to determine whether they exhibit different areas of brain activity during the tasks.
Depression and Anxiety in Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid ArthritisDepression1 moreThe primary endpoint of this study is to evaluate the prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders, and their relationship with disease activity, in patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with biological drugs
Study of Brain Circuitry in Anxiety Disorders
Posttraumatic Stress DisorderPanic Disorder1 moreA diverse body of research has implicated the amygdalo-cortical circuitry in the pathophysiology of anxiety disorders. For example, one model of PTSD posits exaggerated amygdala responsivity to threat-related stimuli as well as deficient top-down modulation of amygdala responses by specific cortical regions, including the pregenual anterior cingulate cortex, subcallosal cortex, and hippocampus. The investigators propose to investigate the pathophysiology of several specific anxiety disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Panic Disorder (PD), and Specific Phobia(SP), by using cognitive activation paradigms and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to probe the function and structure of implicated amygdalo-cortical circuitry.

Major DepressionGeneralized Anxiety Disorder1 moreThe purpose of this study is to explore the changes in metabolic parameters in patients treated with escitalopram for six months for major depression, generalized anxiety disorder or panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia.
