GLucobay M - Evaluation Of Safety and Effectiveness in Type 2 Diabetes Not Well Controlled on Monotherapy...
Diabetes MellitusType 2The study is designed as non interventional to collect data on the safety especially, severe hypoglycemia or documented symptomatic hypoglycemic episodes and effectiveness of acarbose/metformin fixed-dose combination under real-life treatment condition in large sample of type-2 diabetes patients in India. The study objective is to evaluate severe hypoglycemia or documented symptomatic or asymptomatic hypoglycemic events reported as adverse events. The study will begin after the study approval by ethics committee. All patients with type 2 diabetes on acarbose or metformin monotherapy and prescribed Glucobay M will be included in study after taking the informed consent. Patients will be observed for up to 24 weeks (2 weeks). The study involves general examination of patients, collection of data like history of disease, concomitant medication, drug dose etc. The study is planned to enroll 10000 subjects from multiple study centers spread across India. The study data will be analyzed with appropriate statistical methods.
Customer Support Response Study
Type 2 DiabetesThe primary objective of the CUSTOM study is to respond to customer support issues (outside of the US) and to assess the impact of a particular treatment or perturbation relative to an initial control measurement. Sequential subject measurements will be analyzed to determine if a given action or condition induces a score shift, an inflation of measurement variance or elevated outlier rates.
Ghrelin and Diastolic Heart Function
Diabetes MellitusType 23 moreIn type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obese patients the adipose tissue could over-express cytokines, sirtuin-1 (SIRT1), and microRNAs (miRs) implied in the regulation of left ventricle (LV) diastolic function (LV-DF). Ghrelin could modulate these pathways. Thus, in the current study authors will investigate ghrelin expression in T2DM obese patients after abdominal fat excision, and particularly in those with normalization of LV-DF at 1 year of follow-up.
A Study in North Macedonia Investigating Retrospective Data of Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) Participants...
Diabetes MellitusType 2The purpose of this study is to investigate glycaemic control and other clinical parameters in glucagon like peptide -1 (GLP-1) naive adult participants with type 2 diabetes (T2D) who initiated once weekly (OW) semaglutide in local clinical practice in North Macedonia. The participants were treated according to current clinical practice, applicable local labels, and standard of care as per physicians' discretion. The total duration of the study is planned to be approximately 30 weeks which is the period from OW semaglutide initiation to end of follow up.

Real-life Efficacy of Insulia® Tool in Patients Living With Type 2 Diabetes Treated With Basal Insulin...
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the INSULIA digital tool (automation of basal insulin dose calculation in type 2 diabetes) within the framework of a French national telemedicine experimentation program (ETAPES) in a single-center study. The assumption is that a better metabolic control with this tool.
Performance of Six Equations for Estimating Resting Energy Expenditure in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes...
Diabetes MellitusType 2The present study evaluated the statistical and clinical performance of the six common equations in subjects with type 2 diabetes adopting indirect calorimetry as reference standard
Fish, Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids Intake and Type 2 Diabetes
Type2 DiabetesThe role of fishery diet and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) in the development of type 2 diabetes (T2D) is heavily debated but evidence from large populations in China is scant. We aim to use data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) to assess the long-term association between fish, PUFA intake and T2D risk.
Sport as Therapy: a 6-months Lifestyle-Intervention for Patients With Coronary Artery Disease and/or...
Exercise TrainingCoronary Artery Disease2 moreRegular exercise training has shown to improve exercise capacity in patients with cardiovascular disease. The feasibility and transferability of exercise training in a community based cardiovascular rehabilitation setting is currently less well investigated. The objective of this study is to translate regular exercise training into a community based setting. A 6 months training intervention program with lifestyle counseling is performed, with both supervised training in rehabilitation centres as well as home based training. The aim of the project is to implement this program for a wider patient population and to improve exercise capacity, diastolic function as well as cardiometabolic parameters.
Hypoglycaemia and Cardiac Arrhythmias in Type 2 Diabetes
Diabetes MellitusType 22 moreTwenty-one patients with insulin-treated type 2 diabetes with diabetic complications will be recruited to Part 1 of the study, a three-hour combined hyper- and hypoglycaemic clamp, along with a control group of twenty-one individuals with normal glucose tolerance matched for age, gender, and body mass index. Patients with type 2 diabetes will be scheduled for a three-week run-in period with LR and CGM prior to participation in Part 1. Only patients with a well-functioning loop-recorder and who can comply with CGM will be included. Patients with type 2 diabetes will continue in part 2 of the study, a one year observational study employing CGM and LR and clinical examination after 1, 3, 6, 9, and 12 months and an extended observation period of 2 years employing LR and clinical examination.
