The study's specific aims are to: 1) Test whether a psychological intervention that promotes self-efficacy can promote women's use of safe carrying behavior effectively compared to an information only control condition. (2) Test whether including a social partner in the intervention is more effective than an individual psychological intervention.

Abstract Background: Emergency Medicine Wards (EMWs) are among the most stressful wards of hospitals. Emotional Intelligence (EI) seems to be one of the factors that can aid individuals in overcoming environmental stresses. Therefore, the present study aimed at evaluating the role of training in improving EI skills and addressing its indirect effect on reducing job stress of emergency medical assistants in the emergency department. Materials and Methods: In the present study, 20 emergency medical assistants were trained in EI skills while 22 assistants received no training. Then, all participants' EI level and job stress were assessed and compared before and after the intervention using the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory(EQ-i) and the Osipow job stress questionnaire, respectively.

Evidence-based practice (EBP) has improved patient health outcomes. The work environment of nurses is a key element to improving the quality of care and to facilitate EBP, while also improving health outcomes. The CCEC® / BPSO® program consists of the implementation of Good Practice Guides in health organizations in the Spanish territory, and is carried out through a training and participatory methodology, actively involving nurses in the process. The present study tries to know if in the health organizations where the CCEC® / BPSO® program has been implemented, the perception of the nurses' working environment has improved, as well as their attitude towards evidence-based practice, with respect to organizations where this program has not been implemented.

Objective: The purpose of the study was to compare the effects of different types of yoga practices on mindfulness and stress levels reported by students, faculty, and staff at a health professional school. Including mindfulness cues (body scan, mindful movement, and yoga nidra) with Bishnu Gosh lineage hatha yoga as taught by Mary Jarvis may have additive therapeutic effects on mindfulness and stress. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental pre-post test design. Sixty-three individuals qualified for the study and were randomized in a 1:1 allocation ratio of matched pairs into either a physical-based yoga practice (Yoga Group, n = 31) or a mindfulness-based yoga practice (Yoga + Mindfulness Group, n = 32). Participants attended two 50-minute class sessions per week during the four-week intervention phase. The primary outcomes were the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and the 15-item Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS).

The present study is designed to focus on examining the effectiveness of the stress management program on occupational stress and coping strategies among public health centers nurses in Jordan. the Specific Objectives that will guide this study are as follow: To assess the level of occupational stress among Jordanian public health nurses who work in comprehensive health care centers. To find out the association between nurses' occupational stress scores and their selected demographic variables. To identify the sources of occupational stress encountered among public health centers nurses in the work setting. To identify the types of coping strategies utilized by Jordanian nurses working in comprehensive health care centers. To evaluate the effectiveness of stress management program on occupational stress mean score among experimental and control groups at baseline, post-test and at two months' follow-up assessment. This experimental study will examine differential changes in two dependent variables: occupational stress and coping strategies of public health nurses after participation in experiment. Experimental Group will participate in a stress management program and control group will not receive any intervention. The null hypotheses that guide this study are: Null hypothesis (H0_1): There is no significant difference in occupational stress mean score between experimental and control groups at baseline, post-intervention and at two months' follow-up assessment. (µ1 = µ2). Null hypothesis (H0_2): There is no significant difference in coping strategies mean score between experimental and control groups at baseline, post-intervention and at two months' follow-up assessment. Workload in Anesthesiological Practice

The study evaluates differences in perceived and objective workload in anesthetists during intubation procedure with a direct (Mcintosh) or indirect (Glidescope) laryngoscope. Expert anesthetists will perform 3 intubations per device, while completing a secondary task, during which reaction times to an auditory stimulus will be recorded, and will complete a questionnaire (the NASA-Task Load Index) to evaluate their perceived workload at the end of each procedure.

The aim of the study, which was planned in the experimental design type, was to determine the effect of the mindfulness-based stress reduction training on nurses' job stress. The sample of the study consisted of 70 nurses (35 in the experimental group, 35 in the control group) working in a university hospital in Çanakkale. The mindfulness-based stress reduction training was carried out as a group, once a week, for 8 weeks in total.
