Synovitis in Patients With Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisKneeTo study synovial membrane (SM) inflammation in suprapatellar fossa in advanced knee osteoarthritis (OA), and to correlate the pathological features with clinical findings.
Retrospective Follow-up of Synvisc® in Active Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisRetrospective collection of data, aimed at a better knowledge of the context of use of Synvisc® among the patients practising a regular activity (professional/leisure), and at evaluating the different practices and their results.
Osteoarthritis Structural Changes Assessed by Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Neuropathic Pain in...
Neuropathic PainKnee OsteoarthritisThe primary objective of this study is to identify osteoarthritis (OA) structural changes, as assessed by MRI, that best correlate with the presence of neuropathic pain (NP) using the PainDETECT questionnaire (PainDETECT ≥ 13) on a population of patients with OA of the knee experiencing moderate to severe pain (VAS ≥ 40 mm).
Costs and Benefits of ConforMIS iTotal® Knee Replacement System Versus Standard Total Knee
Osteoarthritis,KneeThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the costs and benefits of the ConforMIS iTotal® total knee replacement system versus standard total knee arthroplasty. This study is designed to illustrate the difference in cost between standard total knee replacements and the ConforMIS iTotal at a single institution.
Kinematics in Posterior Cruciate Retaining and Bi-Cruciate Retaining Total Knee Replacements
ArthroplastyReplacement3 moreThe purpose of the study is to acquire kinematic in vivo fluoroscopy data from subjects who were implanted with the Smith & Nephew Journey II posterior cruciate retaining (PCR) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) or Journey II bi-cruciate retaining (BCR) TKA. CMR has previously collected data for the Smith & Nephew BCS TKA and compared these kinematics data to those of normal knees.
Clinical Protocol of Sensitized Acupoint Changes in Knee Osteoarthritis Patients
MicrodialysisBased on the research background and the preliminary research basis of the research group, in order to answer the material basis and micro-physical environment change characteristics of knee osteoarthritis sensitization acupoints and provide scientific basis for in-depth study of sensitization of acupoints. This study plans to use knee osteoarthritis as a research vehicle, and use microdialysis combined with high performance liquid chromatography to analyze the local material basis and key indicators of common sensitization points in knee osteoarthritis.
Validity and Reliability of Smartphone Use in Measuring Joint Position Sense in Patients With Knee...
Knee OsteoarthritisThis study will investigate the concurrent validity and intra-rater reliability of using smartphone in assessing joint position sense in patient with knee osteoarthritis.
Evaluation of Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis Receiving a Prosthesis
OsteoarthritisKnee3 morePatients with osteoarthritis of the knee undergo visible joint changes in radiology and Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tests, but also clinically and histologically. The area of greatest change is at the subchondral/cartilage bone junction. Investigators will determine the association between preoperative clinical evaluation (IKDC and Womac scores), radiological classifications and histopathology. In addition, the role of inflammation in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis is being given major interest, and inflammation is closely linked with vascularization. It was recently demonstrated that dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) could identify the subchondral bone marrow vascularization changes occurring in osteoarthritis in animals. These changes appeared before cartilage lesions were visible and were correlated with osteoarthritis severity. Thus the opportunity to obtain an objective assessment of bone vascularization in non-invasive conditions in humans might help better understanding osteoarthritis pathophysiology and finding new biomarkers. Investigators hypothesized that, as in animals, DCE-MRI has the ability to identify subchondral bone marrow vascularization changes in human osteoarthritis.
Multimodal Evaluation of Cartilage Lesions of Patellofemoral Joint
Knee OsteoarthritisEvaluation and comparison of histological analysis, 9,4 tesla MRI, Full-Field Optical Coherence Tomography (FFOCT) and ultrasound-based navigation system for cartilage degeneration analysis of patellofemoral joint.
Motivators and Barriers to Physical Activity in Knee Osteoarthritis Patients: a Qualitative Study...
Knee OsteoarthritisThis study sought to better identify the motivators and barriers to osteoarthritic patients practising regular physical activity. This is a crucial step towards enabling each health professional to adapt their therapy recommendations, while taking into account the patient's overall lifestyle.
