Bone marrow samples will be collected from patients undergoing hip arthroplasty surgery. Blood and bone marrow samples will be used for metabolic profiling and analysis of relevant CHIP mutations. Combined single-cell transcriptomics and mutation-specific single-cell genotyping (biotin-PCR using mutation-targeted primers followed by sequencing) will subsequently be performed. The gene expression profile of wildtype and mutant hematopoietic stem cells will be compared, performing both broad gene set enrichment analysis and targeted analysis of metabolic pathways.

This study will evaluate clinical outcome on patients who undergo ceramic on ceramic (CoC) bearing total hip arthroplasty (THA) using Delta TT cup.

Psychosocial conditions are common in young adults with hip pain including depression, anxiety, pain catastrophizing, and narcotic use. The incidence of these conditions is not well defined. Interventions to optimize psychosocial conditions with non-surgical or surgical treatments has not been investigated. The goal of this project is to determine the incidence of psychosocial conditions in the young adult population with hip pain and determine if cognitive based therapy can improve clinical outcomes in these individuals.

This clinical trial aims to investigate if shared decision-making, and the use of an in-consultation patient decision aid (PtDA), increases the decisional quality and therefore treatment satisfaction and outcome of patients with severe hip or knee osteoarthritis. Finally, an evaluation will be conducted on patient-reported outcomes on pain, physical function, quality of life (QoL), and patient satisfaction, up to one year after surgery.

The objective of this randomized control trial is to investigate effects and cost effectiveness of interprofessional preoperative assessment among older knee or hip arthroplasty patients. The main hypothesis is that preoperative assessment and optimization have a positive impact on the patents' quality of life and expenditure of social and health care services.

This study is being done to determine the effectiveness of MONOVISC for the relief of pain and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the hip. Specifically, the study will determine if MONOVISC is more effective than a placebo treatment when delivered as intra-articular injections (injected directly into the hip joint). In this case, the placebo will be a dilute solution of salt water (saline).

A prospective, interventional, monocentric, controlled and randomized study will compare a conventional surgical technique to a surgical technique with the assistance of the Acetabular Cup Orientation Guide (ACOG, Materialise) System during total hip replacement (THR).

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an approach based on neurocognitive rehabilitation exercises in the form of sensory-motor problems, whose solution involves the use of higher cognitive functions (attention, memory, language), not required in a traditional approach proprioceptive, in order to obtain a more complete and long-lasting recovery.

The primary objective of this study is to characterize survivorship of the Echo Bi-Metric Microplasty stem in unilateral or bilateral primary total hip arthroplasty at 5 years postoperative.

The investigators aimed to investigate the possible differences in metal ion concentrations in patients following one of two types of metal-on-metal articulating hip prosthesis regarding chromium and cobalt concentration, radiological findings, patient reported outcome measures and rate of revision at 5-years follow up.
