Articular Cartilage Resurfacing With Mesenchymal Stem Cells In Osteoarthritis Of Knee Joint
OsteoarthritisKnee osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. Treatments involve high costs in terms of social and economic, are palliative and do not contemplate healing by regenerative therapy. It has been shown recently, that mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) can be expanded in vitro and may regenerate several damaged or injured tissues. In addition its has demonstrated that MSC are able to modulate immune responses and to control inflammation through its action on T lymphocytes. Preliminary studies in animal models, including one carried out in an equine by the investigators research group, confirms feasibility, safety and efficacy evidence proposed treatment protocol. This study is designed to evaluate therapeutic potential and safety of mesenchymal stem cells in improvement of osteoarthritis clinical manifestations. This study is designed to evaluate therapeutic potential and safety of mesenchymal stem cells in improvement of osteoarthritis clinical manifestations.
Efficacy of Multimodal Perioperative Analgesia With Periarticular Drug Injection in Total Knee Arthroplasty(TKA)...
Osteoarthritis,KneeThe purpose of this study is to compare different medication combinations used in a periarticular injection after total knee replacement surgery(TKR). A periarticular injection is an injection that is given into the tissues surrounding the knee joint. The injection is given while the patient is still in surgery. The study will compare the level of pain management, length of hospital stay, range of motion and side effects from subjects receiving one of four different combinations of medication in a periarticular injection. The medications used in the injections are approved medications routinely used for pain management. Approximately 160 subjects will participate in this study. The surgeon, study personnel, and patients will be blinded to the combination of medications each patient receives. The pharmacist will prepare the 4 different combinations of medications, randomize each patient to the particular combination of medications, and maintain the study drug documentation.

Comparative Study of Olive Oil With Piroxicam Gel in Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Osteoarthritis of the Kneethis is a randomized double blinded trial which is conducted to measure the efficacy of topical virgin olive oil on osteoarthritis of knee that will be done in contrast to standard piroxicam gel.
A Dose-Ranging Study Of Valdecoxib 5 Mg, 10 Mg, And 20 Mg Once Daily Versus Placebo In Patients...
OsteoarthritisKneeTo determine the therapeutic dose range of valdecoxib by comparing the efficacy of three dosing regimens (5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg once daily) with placebo for relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee. To assess safety and tolerability of multiple doses of valdecoxib in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee.
A Placebo-Controlled Study of Collagen Hydrolysate in Subjects With Knee Osteoarthritis (OA)
Knee Osteoarthritis (OA)This study is designed to evaluate, by MRI, knee cartilage and structure in all subjects. Half the subjects in this study will take collagen hydrolysate each day for 48 weeks and the other half of the subjects will take a placebo dose, that looks like and tastes like the collagen hydrolysate, each day for 48 weeks. MRIs will be taken at Study Weeks -1, 24, and 48.
Arthroscopy in the Treatment of Degenerative Medial Meniscus Tear
OsteoarthritisKneeDegenerative meniscal tears are the most common etiology for knee pain, swelling and loss of function. Partial arthroscopic meniscectomy is the most common orthopaedic procedure to treat meniscal tears. Improvements have been reported both after arthroscopy and with conservative treatment, however no direct comparison exist. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of arthroscopic partial meniscectomy for the treatment of degenerative tear of medial meniscus of the knee using a double-blind, placebo controlled, randomised trial.
Mobility Optimization Through Velocity Exercise
Knee OsteoarthritisKnee Osteoarthritis (OA) accounts for a significant proportion of mobility limitations and is one of the most disabling problems facing the growing population of older adults. The purpose of this research is to reduce disablement of older adults with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis.
