Osteoarthritis of the KneeThis is a double-blind, prospective, randomized study in which patients will be randomized to 1 of 4 treatment arms (3 active and 1 placebo). Each patient will receive two doses of active medication or placebo, with study drug administered intravenously (IV). The primary goal of the study is to assess the safety and tolerability of repeat administrations of REGN475 compared to placebo in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee.

Effects of Ultrasound Therapy on Cartilage Healing in Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee OsteoarthritisThe purpose of this study is to determine the effects of low intensity ultrasound therapy over the cartilage morphology (thickness and volume) of patients with mild or moderate knee osteoarthritis.

The Effect of Therapeutic Methods for Chronic Knee Osteoarthritis Pain
OsteoarthritisKneeChronic osteoarthritis (OA) pain of the knee is not effectively abrogated by the available non-pharmacologic or pharmacologic treatments. Radiofrequency (RF) neurotomy is a therapeutic alternative for chronic pain. Here, the researchers investigate the efficacy of RF neurotomy applied to articular branches (genicular nerves) in treating knee joint pain.

Periosteal Stimulation for Knee Osteoarthritis
OsteoarthritisKnee185 veterans with chronic knee pain and advanced knee osteoarthritis will be recruited to participate in this study designed to test the effectiveness of a special type of electrical acupuncture called periosteal stimulation (PST). Participants will be divided into three groups. They will receive PST or a control condition once a week for 10 weeks. Two-thirds of the participants will receive booster sessions periodically over the course of the next 6 months. Everyone will be called monthly during the 6 month period and then will be asked to return for an evaluation on site at the end of this period.

OsteoarthritisKneePatients with unilateral or bilateral osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee participated in a Phase II clinical trial to assess the efficacy of lidocaine 5% patch compared with placebo in the treatment of pain from OA of the knee.

Efficacy and Safety of Diclofenac Sodium Gel (DSG) in Knee Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis of the KneeThis study will test the efficacy and safety of topical diclofenac sodium gel in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.

Tapentadol (CG5503)
OsteoarthritisKnee1 moreThe purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness (level of pain control) and safety of orally administered tapentadol (CG5503) Extended Release (ER) (base) at doses of 100-250 mg twice daily in patients with moderate to severe chronic pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee, in comparison with placebo and Oxycodone Controlled Release (CR).

OsteoarthritisThermoProfen is a transdermal ketoprofen patch that is integrated with a long-lasting CHADD (Controlled Heat-Assisted Drug Delivery) unit for the treatment of chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis. This study will evaluate ThermoProfen for the treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee in adults.

Exploration of the Synovial Fluid Inflammation Mediators Under Diacerhein in Knee Osteoarthritis...
OsteoarthritisSome inflammation mediators, notably IL-1, are implied in the joint degeneration phenomena of osteoarthritis. The aim of this study is to confirm in vivo the favourable effect of diacerhein on IL-1 and also to appreciate its effect on other synovial inflammation mediators.
