Effects of Home Base Whole-body Vibration in Osteoarthritis. (VIBE-Rx2)

Whole Body VibrationOsteo Arthritis Knee

The purpose of this proposal is to understand how the Vibrant Health Ultimate whole-body vibration (WBV) machine affects pain and inflammation in older adults. The investigators' hypothesize that sub-acute (12 weeks) WBV will lead to improvement in the level of knee pain and improve vascular function via a decrease in systemic inflammation.

Clinical Cohort Study of Knee Arthroplasty Assisted by Digital Technology

Knee Osteoarthritis

Through this cohort study, previous clinical data can be systematically reviewed and supplemented through clinical follow-up. Prospective enrollment and follow-up observation of subsequent patients can also be carried out to build a retrospective-prospective two-way cohort study. The intraoperative, perioperative, clinical follow-up and health economics of surgical robot, computer navigation, personalized osteotomy guide and other digital technologies and traditional TKA were comprehensively and objectively compared, the results and conclusions of the center were summarized and reported, and the effectiveness and safety of digital assistive technology applied to TKA were explored, providing references for clinical diagnosis and follow-up research.

Investigation of the Clinical Efficacy of Low-dose Ionizing Radiation in the Treatment of Osteoarthritis...

ArthrosisOsteoarthritis

IMMO-LDRT02 is a prospective, placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized trial to investigate the clinical efficacy of low dose radiation therapy (LDRT) in the treatment of arthrosis. Newly diagnosed or already existing arthroses of the fingers, wrists, shoulders, knees, ankles and feet will be enclosed. Finally, the evidence of clinical benefit from LDRT (6 x 0.5 Gy) will be compared to the placebo group (6 x 0 Gy), by determination via a visual analog scale and identification of immunological changes.

A Prospective Randomized Controlled Study on the Clinical Efficacy of a New Surface Modified Composite...

Open FracturesDegenerative Osteoarthritis and Degenerative Spinal Diseases

This study is a prospective, randomized, controlled, double-arm, non-inferiority study that will be carried out in China. It aims to compare two implant systems (the research group uses surface-modified composite coated orthopedic implants, and controls group using conventional orthopedic implants) safety and effectiveness. A total of 240 patients were recruited. The recruited patients are randomly divided into groups at a ratio of 1:1 to ensure that the distribution of patients in the treatment group and the control group is consistent. Patients will receive clinical follow-up in the 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months postoperatively. The main indicator for evaluation is the postoperative infection rate, and the secondary indicators include the SF-12 scoring scale, EQ-5D patient questionnaire score, fracture healing, malunion, nonunion incidence in the 12th month after surgery, and skin and soft tissue complications Symptom incidence rate. The follow-up data will be used to determine the main safety and effectiveness of the new surface modified composite coated orthopedic implant system.

Non-invasive Evaluation of Upper and Lower Body Function With Showmotion

OsteoarthritisHip4 more

It is very important to understand joint and body kinematics and muscles activity in clinical settings, which is relevant to identify issues related to the spine, the upper and lower limbs due to injury. In this study, the investigators will use an innovative platform, Showmotion to establish baseline of shoulder, hip, knee and spine kinematics and muscles activity from 60 healthy volunteers.

The ATtune Knee Outcome Study

OsteoarthritisKnee3 more

To accomodate dissatisfied patients with a total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and improve outcomes, several knee systems have been developed. The cemented ATTUNE TKA shows superiority over other established knee systems at short-term, abating with longer follow-up. There have been no studies reporting on the results of the uncemented version of the ATTUNE. Therefore, the main objective of the current study was to report patient reported outcome measures (PROMs), survivorship and complications associated with the uncemented ATTUNE TKA.

Autologous Adipose Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (AdMSCs) for Osteoarthritis

OsteoarthritisKnee3 more

This is a phase 2 open-label, 6 arms (1 study group and 1 control group for each joint category), randomized control group clinical study with 300 subjects diagnosed with osteoarthritis of knees (n=100), hips (n=100) and shoulders (n=100). The study subjects will be evaluated for disease-associated severity according to symptoms, such as pain, mobility, daily active life, and functions using arthritis society established specific measurement tools related to the joints (KOOS and KSS for OA-knees: HOOS and HHS for OA-hips and ASES and CSS for OA-shoulders).
