This CDSS will be designed using primary care provider input through a qualitative approach to explore physician preferences for the appearance, electronic location, treatment options, referrals, accessibility and other user requirements of the CDSS.

The investigators will also investigate for predictors of vascular function and determine if predictors vary by level of sodium intake.
Body Weight Assessment in Swiss Primary School Children: Trend Analysis Over 10 Years
OverweightObesityBackground: Recent evidence from several countries has emerged suggesting that the increase in the prevalence of childhood obesity has slowed down substantially, or even leveled off. Also in Switzerland this trend has been observed. In 2002, 20.3% and 19.1% of boys and girls, respectively, were overweight or obese in Switzerland. In 2007, the prevalence of overweight was significantly lower, with 11.3% and 9.9% of school-aged boys and girls, respectively, being overweight or obese. Further trend analyses are necessary to confirm that the stabilizing trend observed reflects a long-term change in the rates of childhood overweight and obesity. Objective and Methods: The aim of the present study is to repeat the 2002 and 2007 national studies, in order to monitor the trend in the prevalence of overweight and obesity in 6-12 year old children in Switzerland during this 5 respectively 10 year time period. Height and weight will be measured and used to calculate body mass index (BMI). BMI references form the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be used to determine the prevalence of underweight (< 5th percentile), overweight (≥ 85th and < 95th percentile) and obesity (≥ 95th percentile). Waist and hip circumference will be measured. Moreover, skinfold thicknesses and bioelectrical impedance analysis will be performed to calculate body fat percentage.
Loss of a Healthy Weight Advantage Among Mexican-American Children
Overweight and ObesityAlthough research indicates foreign-born Mexican-Americans possess a healthy weight advantage relative to U.S.-born Mexican-Americans, patterns are less clear for children and may be changing over time. The objective of this study was to examine whether the relationship between nativity and overweight/obesity has changed over time among Mexican-American children and to investigate the implications of this pattern on overweight/obesity disparities relative to non-Hispanic Whites. Using cross-sectional data from Mexican-Americans and non-Hispanic white children ages 4-17 years participating in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (1988-1994 (N=4,718) and 2005-2014 (N=7,269), the investigators used log-binomial regression to calculate prevalence ratios (PR) of overweight/obesity by nativity status adjusting for age, sex, householder marital status, householder education, survey period and a nativity by survey period interaction. The investigators also tested another covariate-adjusted model with a 3-level ethnicity-nativity variable that included Whites and an ethnicity-nativity by survey period interaction.
Health Literacy and Overweight in Adolescents
Overweight and ObesityObesity in children and adolescents has become a major public health problem in recent years. In Belgium, 20% of people aged between 2 and 17 are overweight and 7% suffer from obesity. While studies often associate this overweight with socio-economic level, other factors, such as health literacy (HL), may also play a role. Among adolescents, some studies have shown an association between the level of HL and the Body Mass Index (BMI). Our study aims to investigate the association between HL of adolescents and their BMI. This is a cross-sectional survey among 9 high schools in a medium city of Belgium, including 254 high school students aged between 12-17 years. Health literacy was assessed by the Health Literacy Measure for Adolescents (HELMA). Student's age, sex, weight, size and parental socio-economic status are gathered in the medical file during the medical examination organized by the schools after obtaining the informed consent of the students and their parents.

Prediction of Weight Gain by Children and Adolescents
OverweightObesityThe 'Meir children's sport and health center' runs a multi-disciplinary intervention program for the treatment of overweight and obese children and adolescents. The program includes physical activity, dietary guidelines, medical supervision and behavioral treatment. The participants are routinely weighed once a week, at the same day and time, in order to supervise their progress. According to our experience, the child can predict his weight change, based on his "behavior" in the previous week. To our knowledge the overweight/obese child's ability to predict his weekly weight change, while participating in a multi-disciplinary intervention program, has never been tested.

Effects of a Computer Game on Activity Choices
OverweightThe study seeks to discover whether peer rejection increases the value of food relative to peer interaction in overweight individuals. After playing a computer game that randomly simulates peer rejection or peer acceptance, participants will play another computer game that will assess the value of food and social interactions. Overweight individuals may be more likely to resort to food in moments of distress and less likely to choose to interact with a peer to reestablish their sense of belongingness.
