Risk of Chronic Post-surgical Pain After TKA
Bilateral Total Knee Chronic Pain Following ArthroplastyChronic post-surgical pain (CPSP) is a common surgical complication. The role of timing in the development of CPSP after bilateral total knee arthroplasty (BTKA) is not well studied. We aimed to compare the occurrence of CPSP in patients who underwent simultaneous or staged BTKA without discharge between procedures.
Patient Experience of Interventional Pain Management. Qualitative Study
Chronic PainThere are quite a few qualitative studies done to find out patients experience of chronic pain. There are no studies on what the patients feel and what thoughts and feelings arise in the patients that are exposed to interventional pain management. This study aims to illuminate how it is to live through an interventional pain management program.

Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Program
Pediatric Chronic PainThe purpose of this study is to describe the demographic, medical, and psychological/behavioral characteristics of children and adolescent patients admitted to the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital's Pain Rehabilitation Program. The data will also be used to evaluate the clinical outcomes of patients admitted to the program as well as to examine the impact of various background factors on clinical outcomes.
Evaluation of an Opioid Decrease Strategy in Chronic
Chronic PainIncrease in the consumption of analgesics observed in many countries with a mediatic crisis resulting in an increasingly frequent wish of patients to wean themselves from opiates. A recent update (B. Rolland 2017) suggests that upon initiation of an opioid analgesic treatment, the patient should be informed of the risk of opioid dependence and misuse. There is no clearly validated decay scheme in the event of dependence in patients with Chronic Non-Cancer Pain. Hypotheses: Possibility of a rapid decrease in opioid analgesic treatments at DCNC sensitized to the risk of DOP and MOP. (Protocol implemented: Multidisciplinary assessment, workshops and information sheet on chronic pain, treatments and risk of DOP, pharmacological and nonpharmacological adaptation) Highlight the need for additional information from patients and prescribers on the risk of DOP and MOP in DCNC.
Investigation of the Characteristics of Chronic Pain Developing After COVID-19
Covid19Coronavirus1 moreData on pain after COVID-19 were generally collected from hospitalized patients and only include information on acute pain conditions. However, the characteristics of the chronic pain experienced after COVID-19 are unknown. For this reason, the treatment and recommendations for patients who present with chronic pain after COVID-19 are not clear. Our goal is to determine the characteristics and risk factors of chronic pain developing in COVID-19 patients and to create specific treatment recommendations for these patient groups with further studies.
