This study will determine the effectiveness of a manualized form of brief psychodynamic psychotherapy in comparison with applied relaxation training in treating adults with panic disorder.

This study will develop an interactive computer-based version of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and compare its effectiveness to book-based CBT for the treatment of panic disorder.

The primary objective is to determine the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of venlafaxine extended release (ER) capsules in the treatment of outpatients with panic disorder (PD) in comparison to those of placebo.

OBJECTIVES: I. Determine which treatment is most effective for patients with panic disorder: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) plus imipramine (IMI), CBT plus placebo, CBT alone, IMI alone, or placebo alone.

OBJECTIVES: I. Determine whether the benzodiazepine alprazolam reinforces self-medication behavior in anxious patients with varying histories of using other drugs. II. Establish outpatient methods for the study of self-medication and drug reinforcement in patients vulnerable to prescription drug abuse or dependence. III. Evaluate the influence of alcohol and other non-prescription drug use as determinants of vulnerability in these patients. IV. Identify personality, attitudinal, or other variables that might predict different patterns of self-medication. V. Assess the effects of cognitive-behavioral therapy on alprazolam self-medication.

This study will determine the effectiveness of different treatments for panic disorder symptoms in individuals who still have symptoms after initial treatment with medication.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of prefrontal transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on clinical severity, attentional bias and interoceptive accuracy in panic disorder (PD). The participants will be assigned to active and sham groups (1:1) and will receive 10 sessions of tDCS. The study will also examine if the effects may last for a month.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether clonazepam and paroxetine are effective in the treatment of panic disorder. Efficacy was evaluated in short-term, long-term and post-treatment.

Transdiagnostic Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) delivered in the individual format, have been proven just as effective as traditional diagnosis specific CBT manuals. The investigators have translated and modified the "The Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders" (UP-CBT) to make it applicable as group therapy in Danish Mental Health Service and a naturalistic trial of this manual has shown promising results. As the use of one manual instead of several diagnosis specific manuals in regional clinics could simplify logistics and reduce waiting time, the investigators want to compare group UP-CBT with diagnosis specific group CBT. Method: A partial blinded, pragmatic, non-inferiority, multicentre randomized clinical trial (RCT). UP-CBT is compared to treatment-as-usual CT. 124 patients are included in each intervention arm, recruited from three Danish regional Mental Health Service Clinics. 31st July 2018 suppl: Inclusion number expanded to 170 in each arm due to unexpected large drop-out.
