Comparison of Postoperative Pain After Gallbladder Retrieval From Umbilical and Epigastric Ports....
CholelithiasisTo know the association of postoperative pain after gallbladder removal from umbilical port site versus epigastric portsite, after four ports laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and the epigastric port site was found to be friendly for the patients in terms of less pain after gallbladder removal from this site after surgery.
Optimum-pressure for Reducing Postoperative Shoulder-tip Pain in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
PainPostoperativeLaparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the standard treatment of gallbladder disease. LC is the common procedure for general surgeons. Although LC is a safe procedure with very low mortality (<1%), it has some associated major morbidity. Bile duct injury is the most serious complication of LC. However, there are some postoperative morbidity including shoulder-tip pain. The incidence of shoulder-tip pain is about 15-45%, which might be influencing the patient outcome including length of hospital stay. From the previous studies, one of the important factor associated with this condition is pneumoperitoneum pressure. Thus, the suggestion of the intra-abdominal pressure should be low pressure as about 8 mmHg. However, the optimum pressure for the low-pressure during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is controversial.
Postoperative Pain and Success Rate in Pulpotomy Versus Root Canal Treatment
Pulpitis - IrreversiblePulpotomy has been proposed in the last decade as a definitive treatment of mature permanent teeth with irreversible pulpitis due to the better understanding of the pulp biology and development of bioactive materials . This technique involves removal of the coronal portion of the pulp that has undergo degenerative and irreversible changes to the level of the canal orifices and leaving the healthy vital radicular portion of the pulp. The surrogate marker for the degree of inflammation and the healing potential of the remaining pulp tissue has been suggested to be the ability to control the bleeding after pulp amputation. By preserving the pulp vitality, this can help in maintaining proprioceptive, reparative, innervation (tooth sensitivity), vascularization, and damping functions. The vital pulp can continue to serve the function of protecting the tooth from overload by means of protective feedback mechanism and preventing fracture because of the presence of pulp and organic tissue in the dentinal tubules..

Role of Propolis Paste in Preventing Pain After Root Canal Treatment.
PainPostoperativeThis study evaluates the role of propolis paste as compared to calcium hydroxide (when used as intracanal medication) in prevention and treatment of pain after root canal treatment in necrotic (infected) teeth. Half of the participants will receive calcium hydroxide, while the other half will receive propolis.

Comparison of Different Neural Blockade Techniques in Postoperative Analgesia After Total Hip Arthroplasty...
PainPostoperativeTo compare the different analgesic protocols for patients receiving total hip arthroplasty(THA). Patients will divided into 3 groups, which are 1. fascia iliaca compartment block with IV-PCA(patient controlled analgesia), 2. femoral nerve and lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block with IV-PCA, 3. IV-PCA only.
Does Perioperative Pregabalin Reduce Postoperative Pain After Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament...
Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) ReconstructionThe investigators hypothesize that perioperative oral administration of pregabalin would reduce postoperative pain and produce reduction in postoperative opioid consumption after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction . Patients are randomly assign to 1 of 2 groups. The placebo group receive placebo capsules 1 hour before surgery and 12 hours after initial dose. The pregabalin group receive pregabalin 150 mg, respectively at the same points.
