Scintigraphy for Prediction In Rheumatoid Intentional Therapy Tapering

Rheumatoid Arthritis

The goal of this observational study is to investigate whether 99mTc-maraciclatide imaging prior to biologic therapy tapering and after 3 months can predict those at risk of Rheumatoid arthritis flare. Participants undergoing routine tapering of biologic drug therapy will have 99mTc-maraciclatide imaging in addition to normal ultrasound imaging and then followed up over 12 months to assess whether an interval scan alone or in combination with the baseline scan is predictive of flare.

Impact of Air Pollution on the Course of Inflammatory Rheumatism

Rheumatoid ArthritisAnkylosing Spondylitis1 more

The objective of this study is to see if there is a link between air pollution and inflammatory rheumatism (rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis) To do this, the investigators are going to follow a cohort of about 200-400 patients for 6 months by means of a self-questionnaire, which the investigators ask the patient to fill in once a week on a fixed day, and opposite the corresponding week to put the letter corresponding to the question concerning the activity of your disease: 3 possible answers: A: no flare-up, B: short flare-up of 1 to 3 days, C: persistent flare-up of more than 3 days Then the investigators will collect the questionnaire at the end of these 6 months and at each visit to the consultation or day hospital (on average every 4 to 6 weeks), and they will look to see if any relapses have occurred. At the same time the investigators will calculate the disease activity score (DAS or BASDAI) to have an objective score. Then in parallel they will look at the level of exposure to air pollution according to the place of residence and work of each patient. The hypothesis is that air pollution has an influence on the activity of inflammatory rheumatism.

The Role of Aquatic-Based Plyometric Exercises for Patients With Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

This study was designed to assess the effect of a 12-week aqua-plyometric (AquaPlyo) training on muscle strength, bone health, and physical ability in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Forty-eight patients with JIA were randomly allocated to the AquaPlyo group (n = 24, received an aquatic-based plyometric training program, twice/week, over 12 weeks) or the control group (n = 24, received standard exercise program). Both groups were assessed for muscle strength, bone health, and physical ability pre and post-treatment.

Vitamin D Effect in Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Active Rheumatoid Arthritis

Regulatory T (Tregs) cells play an important role in the maintenance of immunological tolerance. It decrease in the peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Vitamin D has an immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effect in rheumatoid arthritis. Vitamin D supplementation significantly enhances Tregs percentage in the peripheral blood of RA patients. So supplementation of Vit D improves rheumatoid arthritis disease activity.

Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of GSK3196165 Plus Methotrexate in Subjects With Active...

ArthritisRheumatoid

This is a randomised, Phase IIb, dose-adaptive, multicentre, double-blind, parallel group, placebo-controlled study with the primary objective to assess the efficacy of GSK3196165, in combination with methotrexate (MTX), in subjects with active moderate severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA) despite treatment with MTX. Approximately 210 subjects will be randomised into the study, following a screening period of up to four weeks. The total treatment period is up to 52 weeks, with a 12-week follow-up period after the last dose (Week 50). Subjects will be randomised (1:1:1:1:1:1) to placebo or one of five subcutaneous (SC) GSK3196165 doses, in combination with MTX (at a weekly dose between 15-25 milligram [mg]), previously received for at least 12 weeks, with a stable and tolerated dose and route of administration for >=4 weeks. Escape therapy is provided at specified timepoints in the protocol for subjects that do not achieve adequate disease improvement.

A Trial With Humanized TNFα Monoclonal Antibody Injection by Single Dose and Dose Escalation in...

Rheumatoid Arthritis

This study is a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled trial with healthy subjects. There are 6 Groups as follows: 5mg, 15mg, 30mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg, and each group includes12 people. A single subcutaneous injection will be administrated starting from the low dose group (in accordance with 5mg, 15mg, 30mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg administered subcutaneously). Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics data will be collected; drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics characteristics will be analyzed. Drug safety and tolerance for subjects will be evaluated.
