Therapy of Antibody-mediated Autoimmune Diseases by Bortezomib (TAVAB)
Myasthenia GravisSystemic Lupus Erythematosus1 moreThe aim of this pilot study is to investigate the application of proteasome inhibitor Bortezomib (Velcade®, approved for therapy of multiple myeloma) in patients with therapy-refractory antibody-mediated autoimmune diseases. The investigators hypothesis is that the proteasome inhibition will lead to reduced antibody titers and improved clinical outcome.
A Multi-centre Study to Assess the Long-term Performance of the Silent Hip™ in Primary Total Hip...
Primary ArthritisSecondary ArthritisThe purpose of this study is to monitor the performance and of the Silent Hip™ in the treatment of patients with hip joint disease requiring a total hip replacement. Patients who enter the study will be evaluated at regular intervals following hip surgery using patient, clinical and x-ray assessments.

Rheumatoid ArthritisOsteoarthritis4 moreThe purpose of this study is to monitor the performance of the DePuy PROXIMA™ hip in the treatment of patients with hip joint disease requiring a total hip replacement. Patients who enter the study will be evaluated at regular intervals following hip surgery using patient, clinical and x-ray assessments.
Primary TKA Cruciate Retaining vs Cruciate Substituting With Rotating Platform Knee Prostheses
OsteoarthritisArthritis4 moreThe purpose of the study is to evaluate the clinical performance of the cruciate ligament retaining or cruciate ligament substituting implants by obtaining a series of primary TKAs. Outcome scoring and radiographic assessment will be the methods used to evaluate performance.
Anterior Advantage With KINCISE
OsteoarthritisRheumatoid Arthritis1 moreThis is a post-market prospective, 1:1 randomized, multicenter non-inferiority study to compare the femoral broaching time for THA with the Anterior Advantage approach with KINCISE vs. without KINCISE. Follow-up will continue through 24 weeks post-op.
Autologous Intra-Articular Micro-Fragmented Adipose Transfer for the Treatment of Thumb Carpometacarpal...
Arthritis32 patients with Eaton-Glickel stage 2-3 CMC arthritis will be randomized to receive intraarticular MFAT or intraarticular corticosteroid injection. Patients with inflammatory arthritis or prior thumb base trauma or surgery will be excluded. Autologous adipose tissue will be harvested from the outer thigh or lower abdomen using local anesthesia. Tissue will be processed to remove oil and debris in-office using an FDA-approved commercially available device. The processed adipose will be immediately injected into the thumb CMC joint under fluoroscopic guidance. Visual analogue score (VAS), grip/pinch strength, Kapandji range of motion score, thumb disability examination, and QuickDASH score will be assessed pre-procedure and at 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.
The Oxylipin Response as a New PrEdictive Biomarker of Patient Responsiveness to Biotherapy in Rheumatoid...
Rheumatoid ArthritisOPERA aims to better understand and predict the responsiveness of rheumatoid arthrits (RA) patients to biological disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (bDMARDs). Our objectives will be (i) to determine, at baseline, the differences of oxylipin response between responders vs non-responders to Anti-Tumor necrosis factor (Anti TNF) and (ii) to investigate the relationships between the oxylipin response, the polyunsatured fatty acid (PUFA) content of immune cells and the cytokine response.
