Does Perioperative Pregabalin Reduce Postoperative Pain After Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction

The investigators hypothesize that perioperative oral administration of pregabalin would reduce postoperative pain and produce reduction in postoperative opioid consumption after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction . Patients are randomly assign to 1 of 2 groups. The placebo group receive placebo capsules 1 hour before surgery and 12 hours after initial dose. The pregabalin group receive pregabalin 150 mg, respectively at the same points.

Comparison of Different Neural Blockade Techniques in Postoperative Analgesia After Total Hip Arthroplasty...

PainPostoperative

To compare the different analgesic protocols for patients receiving total hip arthroplasty(THA). Patients will divided into 3 groups, which are 1. fascia iliaca compartment block with IV-PCA(patient controlled analgesia), 2. femoral nerve and lateral femoral cutaneous nerve block with IV-PCA, 3. IV-PCA only.

Effect of Local Anesthesia on Postoperative Pain Following Sacrospinous Ligament Fixation

Pelvic Organ Prolapse

During surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, it is common for the surgeon to inject fluid into the vaginal tissues to help with tissue dissection. It is common that anesthetic medication is mixed into this fluid to help with pain control after surgery. Usually the pain medication injected is short-acting. In this study the investigators plan to compare the usual short-acting injected pain medication with a long-acting injected pain medication to evaluate whether this improves pain control after surgery. One type surgical procedure for prolapse will be evaluated. The procedure is sacrospinous ligament fixation. This is suspension of the vagina to treat pelvic organ prolapse. Study participants will be randomized to one of two study groups: Lidocaine group (short-acting medication). Liposomal bupivacaine group (long-acting medication) Information will be collected on study participants, including: demographics, procedure data, and post-operative information. The primary outcome of this study is determine if use of long-acting injected local anesthesia at the time of sacrospinous ligament fixation leads to less post-operative pain compared to short-acting local anesthesia. Secondary outcomes include: post-operative opioid medication use return to baseline pain status post-operative time to first bowel movement post-operative antiemetic use (nausea medication) results of voiding trial after surgery patient satisfaction with pain control

Comparison Between Serratus Anterior Plane Block and Erector Spinae Plane Block for Mastectomy

Breast Cancer Postoperative Pain

In this study, we are comparing two different techniques of plane blocks to control postoperative mastectomy pain serratus anterior plane block and erector spinae plane block, both are done with ultrasonic guidance We are recording the first time of analgesia request postoperatively as a primary outcome

The Comparison of Analgesia Methods Used for Spinal Surgery

AnalgesiaPostoperative Pain

In this study ; Two randomized groups will be created. Iv magnesium will be given to one of the blindly designated groups. The other group will be given only isotonic. All patients will be awakened after the analgesic agents (0,1mg / kg morphine, 15mg / kg paracetamol, nsaid) are used in routine practice and will be followed up for intensive care. The use of PCA (patient controlled analgesia) device is available in both groups. In post-operative period, magnesium infusion will be continued for 12 h. Only 100cc isotonic will be given without using magnesium to the other group. VAS (visual analog scale) score will be recorded at postoperative 30. minutes and 2,6,12,18,24 hours. In routine administration, the patient should be given 2 mg of morphine if vas>4 and the maximum dose will be increased to 10 mg.

Comparison of Postoperative Pain After Gallbladder Retrieval From Umbilical and Epigastric Ports....

Cholelithiasis

To know the association of postoperative pain after gallbladder removal from umbilical port site versus epigastric portsite, after four ports laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and the epigastric port site was found to be friendly for the patients in terms of less pain after gallbladder removal from this site after surgery.

Optimum-pressure for Reducing Postoperative Shoulder-tip Pain in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

PainPostoperative

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the standard treatment of gallbladder disease. LC is the common procedure for general surgeons. Although LC is a safe procedure with very low mortality (<1%), it has some associated major morbidity. Bile duct injury is the most serious complication of LC. However, there are some postoperative morbidity including shoulder-tip pain. The incidence of shoulder-tip pain is about 15-45%, which might be influencing the patient outcome including length of hospital stay. From the previous studies, one of the important factor associated with this condition is pneumoperitoneum pressure. Thus, the suggestion of the intra-abdominal pressure should be low pressure as about 8 mmHg. However, the optimum pressure for the low-pressure during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is controversial.

Post Operative Pain Control of POEM Procedure

Achalasia

Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) is a minimally invasive treatment for esophageal achalasia with a natural orifice transluminal endoscopic procedure and far less invasive than the standard surgical or laparoscopic Heller myotomy (LHM). Less is known about the postoperative pain after POEM and the minor surgery trauma, short length of stay may lead to underestimation of postoperative pain control. We tend to observe the pain status after the POEM surgery under the empirical treatment in our center, and find a proper intra-operative way of pain control to solve the post-operative pain and seek the possible influence factors of postoperative pain.

Fascia Iliaca Compartment Block Versus Anterior Quadratus Lumborum Block

Postoperative Pain

Fractures of the femur are common orthopaedic emergency especially in the geriatric population and central neuraxial blocks are the preferred technique for providing anaesthesia. However, limb immobility and extreme pain are the deterrents for ideal positioning for these procedures. postoperative pain is a nightmare so adequate analgesia has been advocated to reduce the pain. in this study, Facia Iliaca compartment block will be compared to anterior Quadratus lumborum block, both will be done Ultrasound-guided using Bupivacain0.25% for postoperative analgesia at the end of the surgery.
