Dry Needling for Cervicogenic Headache
HeadacheCervicogenic HeadacheThis is a single-blinded randomized clinical trial. The primary aim of this study is to compare the effectiveness of dry needling of myofascial trigger points in the muscles of the head and cervical spine in addition to an upper extremity strengthening/stretching exercise program compared to a dry needling group alone on pain scores, cervical range of motion, pain sensitivity and changes in severity and frequency of pain symptoms in individuals with cervicogenic headache.
Ultrasound Greater Occipital Nerve Block at C2 Level Compared to Landmark-based Greater Occipital...
Occipital NeuralgiaCervicogenic Headache1 moreThis study will compare the analgesic benefit of a traditional landmark-guided GON block with the ultrasound-guided approach over a four week period in patients with occipital neuralgia or cervicogenic headache.
Adjunct VR Pain Management in Acute Brain Injury
Traumatic Brain InjuryHeadaches Posttraumatic3 moreSevere and refractory pain after acute injury is a known-risk factor for chronic opioid use disorder. In this study, the investigators will use Virtual Reality (VR) immersion as a non-pharmacological adjunct to treat pain associated with acute traumatic injuries, including traumatic brain injury. The investigators hypothesize that VR therapy will decrease pain and reduce opioid use in patients with acute traumatic injuries, including TBI.
Effects of SNAGS Along With Thoracic Postural Correction Techniques in Patients With Chronic Cervicogenic...
Cervicogenic HeadacheThe aim of this study is to find out the effects of Mulligan SNAGs along with thoracic postural correction techniques on patients with chronic cervicogenic headache. Patients suffering from cervicogenic headache are often associated with muscle imbalance. This study will be significant in determining the effects of SNAGs along with thoracic postural correction techniques to improve pain, level of disability and functional status in patients of cervicogenic headache. It will be Randomized controlled trial study design Data will be collected from Lady reading Hospital Peshawar Purposive sampling, group randomization using lottery method will be used in this study.
Dry Needle In Management of Cervicogenic Headache
Cervicogenic HeadacheHeadache is an important health problem. It is the commonest type of all signs of illness in the people worldwide. Cervicogenic Headache is commonest musculoskeletal condition in physiotherapy practice. This study's main objective was to evaluate effectiveness of Dry Needle with exercise in decreasing pain and improving function in patients with Cervicogenic Headache.
Efficacy and Tolerability of Erenumab in the Prophylactic Treatment of Persistent Post-Traumatic...
Post-Traumatic HeadacheMild Traumatic Brain Injury1 moreAn exploratory open-label study of PPTH patients to study the efficacy and tolerability of erenumab in the prophylactic treatment of persistent headache attributed to mild traumatic injury to the head. Approximately 100 subjects will be included to erenumab 140 mg. Patients who have participated in study with prior provocation (Ethics Committee of the Capital Region of Denmark (H-1801147 and H-18050498) and who have consented to be contacted will primarily be included. The study will begin February 2019 and is expected to last one year. Patients responding to advertisement (see add) will be contacted by phone.
Abobotulinumtoxina Efficacy in Post-Traumatic Headache
Post-Traumatic HeadacheThis study will evaluate the efficacy of abobotulinumtoxina on Veterans with post-traumatic headache
The Effect of Myofascial Release in Patients With Cervicogenic Headache
Cervicogenic HeadacheCervicogenic headache (CeH) is a secondary and often unilateral that is known by referring pain from soft or hard cervical structures to occipital, temporal, frontal and sometimes pre-orbital regions. There is higher prevalence of cervical muscle tightness, assessed clinically in CeH patients and anatomically there are some fascial connections between sub-occipital muscles with vertebra of C2 and Dura-mater.Therefore fascial restriction in this region can limit the normal movement of muscles between fascial plates in different directions in sub-occipital region. The purpose of current study was to compare the effect of MFR Technique in the upper cervical region with common (Exs) on pain intensity, frequency, duration and Pressure Pain Threshold (PPT) of upper cervical joints in subjects with CeH.
rTMS Treatment of Persistent Headache and Post Concussion Symptoms Attributed to Mild Traumatic...
Brain InjuriesTraumatic7 moreThe objective of this study is to investigate the treatment effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in patients with a history of both persistent post-traumatic headache and post-concussion symptoms. In this double-blind, sham-controlled, concealed allocation, randomized clinical trial, 20 patients aged 18-65 yrs will be recruited from the Calgary Brain Injury Program (CBIP) and the Calgary Headache Assessment and Management Program (CHAMP) / Calgary Chronic Pain Centre, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Patients will engage in a two-week rTMS treatment protocol (10 treatments) and will be followed for 6 months after therapy.
The Efficacy of Manual Therapy and Pressure Biofeedback Guided Strength Training on Pain and Functional...
Cervicogenic HeadacheCervicogenic headache (CGH) is a widespread illness that results in excruciating pain and a sizable functional handicap. Deep cervical flexor muscle (DCFM) strength and endurance were also worse in CGH patients. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of manual therapy and pressure biofeedback-guided DCFM strength training on pain intensity and functional limitations in individuals with CGH.
