Comparison of HP011-101 to Standard Care for Stage I-II Pressure Ulcers in Subjects With Spinal...
Pressure UlcersSpinal Cord InjuryThe trial will compare the effects of 14 days treatment with HP011 101 versus Standard Care in subjects with Stage I or II pressure ulcers as a complication of spinal cord injury, measured as change from baseline in composite wound bed scores of the PUSH 3.0 tool.
Study to Evaluate the PICO 14 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy System in the Management of Acute...
Surgical IncisionUlcer Foot5 moreThis is a prospective, multi-center, open label study evaluating the performance of PICO14 NPWT in the management of chronic open wounds (pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetes related foot ulcers), dehisced surgical wounds and closed surgical incisions. The study comprises the Post Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF) for a new variant of an established product. PICO 14 is based on another dressing called PICO. The primary objective is to evaluate functional performance of PICO 14 through verification of delivery of negative pressure and wound exudate management.
Combination of Taliderm® and Vacuum-assisted Closure (VAC) for Treatment of Pressure Ulcers
WoundsPressure UlcerBackground: The wound healing promoting effect of negative wound pressure therapies (NWPT) takes place at the wound foam interface. Implementation of bioactive substances at this site represents a major research area for the development of future NWPT devices. Methods: Wound healing kinetics of pressure ulcers treated by vacuum assisted closure devices with or without the implementation of a thin interface of poly-N-acetyl glucosamine nanofibers (sNAG) was studied in a prospective randomized clinical trial.
AutoloGel Therapy to Usual and Customary Care in Pressure Ulcers
Pressure UlcerThe aim of this trial is to demonstrate the effectiveness of complete wound healing in a prospective, open-label, case-matched cohort-controlled trial in which pressure ulcers will be treated using AutoloGel and standard care and case-matched against a concurrent cohort of patients receiving undefined Usual and Customary Care.
Ketamine and Refractory Painful Care in a Palliative Unit
Intractable PainIntensive Care2 morePain is one of the major symptoms in palliative care units and often is very difficult to treat, being considered as a refractory pain. There are different causes of refractory pain: pain due to bed sores and ulcer bandages, carcinological or ischemic wounds or injuries, pain due to patients' reduced mobility, pain due to traumatological injuries, pain associated with a long-term bed confinement, etc. The investigators propose a prospective study to estimate the effect and the tolerance to a subcutaneous bolus of ketamine administered for the treatment of refractory pain due to the care of bedsores, ulcers and vascular wounds in patients hospitalized in palliative care units.
Reduction of Bacteria in MRSA Positive Ulcers
Leg UlcerPressure UlcerThe purpose of this study is to determine if gaseous nitric oxide is effective in the treatement of bacteria in MRSA positive ulcers
Cast Sores With Waterproof Vs. Standard Cast Padding
Pressure UlcerThe purpose of this study is to compare waterproof cast padding material to standard cotton/poly-cotton cast padding material to the presence or absence of cast sores of the heel.
Registry Trial of the Effectiveness of Platelet Rich Plasma for Chronic Non-Healing Wounds
Diabetic Foot UlcersVenous Ulcers1 moreThis study will examine differences in the process of wound-healing in patients treated with platelet rich plasma (a concentration of proteins derived from a patients own blood) applied to the wound as a gel; injected into the wound or surrounding tissue; or both; compared to patients treated with usual medical treatment . This study seeks to enroll patients who are 18 or older with a non-healing skin wound that is at least 30 days old. Only patients with Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Venous Ulcers, or Pressure Ulcers will be included in the study.
The Effect of Care Bundle in Preventing Pressure Ulcers Caused by Medical Devices in the Pediatric...
Pressure UlcerNursing Caries1 moreWith the development of technology in medicine, more medical instruments are used in the treatment of diseases. Although the use of these instruments provides great benefits for the patients, it can also cause some complications. One of the most important of these complications is pressure ulcer. Some care and evaluation are needed to prevent these complications. This study aims to prevent pressure ulcers with a care package for patients with high risk scores.
