
Dose Ranging Study of the Safety and Efficacy of R115966 in Plaque Psoriasis
PsoriasisEligible subjects will be randomly assigned to one of three dose regimens of oral R115866 or placebo for the treatment of severe plaque psoriasis for 12 twelve weeks. The safety and efficacy of R115866 will be evaluated during the treatment period and the 8-week post treatment follow-up period.

In this study we aim to determine in a randomized half-side comparison whether initial narrowband UVB-311nm phototherapy accelerates and improves the clearance of skin lesions in adalimumab-treated patients.

Plaque-type PsoriasisThis is a multicenter, open-label study to assess systemic plasma levels of calcitriol, calcium homeostasis and safety in adults with plaque-type psoriasis under conditions of maximized use of CD 2027 3µg/g oily spray twice daily (6 g daily), applied to 20% of BSA for 3 weeks. There are a total of six visits: Pre-treatment period (Day -15, Day -8 and Day -1) and Treatment period (Day 1/ Baseline, Day 15 and Day 22).

Open Label Study of Alefacept Injections to Patients With Moderate to Severe Psoriasis
Moderate to Severe PsoriasisThis is a single-center, open-label, pilot study. A total of 18 subjects will be enrolled in this 6 month study to evaluate whether the response to intralesional alefacept injections prior to the standard course of intramuscularly (IM) treatment can predict clinical outcomes in psoriasis patients. One lesion with a psoriasis severity assessment score greater than 3 and an induration score greater than 1 will be identified on each patient. Each lesion will receive only one intralesional alefacept injection during the first three weeks of the study (1 lesion per week). Following a 2 week observation period, subjects will undergo a standard 12 week course of weekly intramuscular alefacept injections. The Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) score will be used to determine the effectiveness of the intramuscular alefacept treatments. An 8 week follow-up period will begin after the last dose of alefacept is administered where safety and efficacy measures will continue to be monitored as outlined in the study procedures. The hypothesis is that the response to intralesional alefacept injections, whether it is positive or no benefit, will predict the clinical response to intramuscular alefacept administration.

Alefacept (Amevive) With or Without Narrowband UVB Treatment in Patients With Psoriasis.
PsoriasisAlefacept is a new anti-psoriatic drug within the group of the so-called biologics. In about 30% of patients alefacept induces a more than 75% improvement of psoriasis after a 12-week treatment period. The start of anti-psoriatic effect by alefacept is delayed, however improvement of psoriatic lesions outlasts the end of alefacept treatment. Narrowband UVB (UVB-311nm) phototherapy is an established anti-psoriatic treatment regimen with rapid onset of anti-psoriatic efficacy but disease-free intervals after the end of successful treatment courses may be short. Therefore, in this half-side (left/right side) comparison study we aim to investigate whether an additional narrowband UVB treatment accelerates and improves the anti-psoriatic treatment effects of alefacept.
