MK-5475-013 INSIGNIA-PH-COPD: A Study of the Efficacy and Safety of MK-5475 (an Inhaled sGC Stimulator)...
Pulmonary HypertensionChronic Obstructive Pulmonary DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of once daily oral inhalation dose of MK-5475 380 µg in participants 40 to 80 years (inclusive) with Pulmonary Hypertension associated with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (PH-COPD). The primary hypothesis of the study is MK-5475, a soluble Guanylate Cyclase (sGC) stimulator is superior to placebo in increasing 6 Minute Walking Distance (6MWD) from baseline at Week 24.
A Study of Pulmonary Hypertension Peripheral Limitations
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionHealthyThe investigators are doing this research study to compare whole body aerobic training with isolated leg training (with weights) and its impact on effectiveness in symptoms and quality of life in patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH).
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Light Therapy
Pulmonary HypertensionInsomnia1 moreCognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-I) is a common treatment for insomnia that does not use medications. While CBT-I is effective for insomnia, it does not tend to improve the waking symptom of fatigue. Another treatment, Bright Light Therapy, is used for treating seasonal depression and sleep disorders, and may improve fatigue and physical activity in individuals with PAH. The purpose of this study to assess the effects of Bright Light Therapy compared to CBT-I to treat insomnia and fatigue in patients with PAH.
Feto-Endoscopic Tracheal Occlusion (FETO) for Left Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
Congenital Diaphragmatic HerniaPulmonary Hypoplasia1 moreTracheal occlusion IDE approved by FDA for congenital diaphragmatic hernia fetuses.
Evaluating the Utility of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure in the Treatment of High Altitude...
Continuous Positive Airway PressureHigh Altitude Pulmonary EdemaThe primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of continuous positive pressure on resolution of high-altitude pulmonary edema vs high flow oxygen. The secondary objective is to derive an incidence of high-altitude pulmonary edema based on the elevation and timing from which the subject arrives. Additionally, in a convenience sample of the base study population, an ultrasound evaluation for the presence of B lines in the lungs will be conducted after 2 hours.
A Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Ralinepag to Improve Treatment Outcomes in PAH Patients...
PAHPulmonary Hypertension10 moreStudy ROR-PH-301, ADVANCE OUTCOMES, is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of ralinepag when added to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) standard of care or PAH-specific background therapy in subjects with World Health Organization (WHO) Group 1 PAH.
A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability of PDNO Infusion in Patients With Pulmonary...
Pulmonary HypertensionThis is an open-label, multicenter study evaluating the dose, effect, safety and tolerability of intravenous PDNO infusion given to patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) surgery with post-operative acute pulmonary hypertension (aPH).
A Study Providing Treatment Access in Participants With Pulmonary Hypertension Completing a Parent...
HypertensionPulmonaryThe purpose of the study is to enable participants with pulmonary hypertension (PH) currently treated with study intervention(s) in a clinical study (parent studies [NCT03422328, NCT03904693 and NCT04565990]), to continue to benefit from the intervention after closure of the parent study in case they have no alternative means of access to the study intervention. This study will allow assessment of the long-term safety of each study intervention.
A Study of Sotatercept for the Treatment of Cpc-PH Due to HFpEF (MK-7962-007/A011-16)
HypertensionPulmonaryThis is a Phase 2, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sotatercept versus placebo in adults with Cpc-PH due to HFpEF. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of sotatercept versus placebo in adults with Cpc-PH due to HFpEF. Efficacy is measured by change from baseline in pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR, primary endpoint) and 6-minute walk distance (6MWD, key secondary endpoint).
Exercise and Respiratory Therapy in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis / Collagenosis and Pulmonary...
Pulmonary HypertensionConnective Tissue DiseaseIn Patients with rheumatic disease exercise training is a well established element of therapy. In contrast patients with severe pulmonary hypertension are advised to avoid physical exertion and must not perform exercise training. This study aims to evaluate the effectivity and safety of a low-dose training program in patients with pulmonary hypertension and rheumatic disease.
