HypertensionPulmonaryConcordance between walking tests and pedometer data may seem like a logical outcome for pulmonary hypertension (PH) patients. However, many individuals have discordant results: results much worse or better during an in-hospital walking test as compared to real life activity. The primary objective of this study is: to determine variables associated with discordance between the distance walked during an in-hospital 6-minute walking test (6MWT) and the average distance travelled per day (observed over a period of 28 days (2 × 14 days) using a pedometer) among PH patients.

Bleeding Frequency Under Anticoagulant Treatment in Pulmonary Hypertension
Pulmonary Arterial HypertensionPulmonary hypertension (PHT) patients often receive long term oral anticoagulants. If the indication is strong, in the secondary chronic thrombo-embolism pulmonary hypertension (CTE-PHT) prevention, the frequent prescription (50 to 90% of patients) contrasts with their low level of proof in the PHT. Last but not least, anticoagulants are known to be the principal cause of iatrogenic hospitalization (major bleeding). In this study, patients are all followed during one year, to determine the annual frequency of major bleedings (according to the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) international definition). Each event notified is validated by an independent committee for clinical events.
Giessen Pulmonary Hypertension in Lung Cancer Registry
Pulmonary Hypertension Due to Lung Diseases and HypoxiaThe aim of this study is to investigate the frequency and implications of pulmonary hypertension in lung cancer patients. To do so, data will be collected from all lung cancer patients at the university hospital Giessen. All data will be analyzed for possible hints of pulmonary hypertension as a comorbidity in lung cancer patients. All information will be generated from the regular guidelines based course of treatment and there will be no interventions. This study will serve as a prospective register for all lung cancer patients treated at the university hospital Giessen.
