Donor Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplant and Pretargeted Radioimmunotherapy in Treating Patients...
Chronic Myelomonocytic LeukemiaMyelodysplastic/Myeloproliferative Neoplasm8 moreThis phase I trial studies pretargeted radioimmunotherapy and donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant employing fludarabine phosphate and total-body irradiation (TBI) to treat patients with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, or myelodysplastic syndrome. Giving chemotherapy drugs, such as fludarabine phosphate, and TBI before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies can be combined with fludarabine phosphate and TBI to find cancer cells and kill them without harming normal cells. Pretargeted radioimmunotherapy (PRIT) allows for further improved targeting of tumor cells over standard directly labeled antibodies.

A Phase-II Study Of TOMUDEX Plus Radiotherapy In Subject With Inoperable or Recurrent Rectal Cancer...
Inoperable or Recurrent Rectal CancerThe pilot study is designed to investigate the value of Neo-adjuvant Tomudez in combination with radiotherapy in patients with inoperable or recurrent rectal cancer in terms of response rate and increasing the resectability of initially inoperable rectal cancer.

Recurrent Inguinal Hernia Treatment - Lichtenstein Versus Laparoscopic Totally Extraperitoneal Preperitoneal...
Recurrent Inguinal HerniaThe study aims at detecting possible differences between an open (Lichtenstein) and a video-assisted (TEP) technique in treating recurrent inguinal hernia. The differences monitored are further recurrence and chronic pain as well as primary complications.

Effect of Valacyclovir in the Reduction of HSV-2 Recurrence and Shedding
HIVHIV InfectionsThe purpose of the study is to determine how common herpes is among persons with HIV who do not know they have it and if valacyclovir reduces outbreaks of herpes, the amount of HIV in the blood, and the amount of HSV in bodily secretions.

Prevention of Asthma Relapse After Discharge From Emergency
AsthmaThe purpose of this study is to compare the Symbicort® Turbuhaler® to both Pulmicort® Turbuhaler® and Bricanyl® Turbuhaler® for the treatment of asthma after discharge from the emergency room

Stapler Versus Glue for Laparoscopic Groin Hernia Repair
Inguinal HerniaRecurrence1 moreRepair of inguinal hernia is the most common operation of the general surgeon. In recent years, it was recognized that chronic postoperative pain is as important for postoperative outcome as recurrent hernia. The incidence of pain or discomfort ranges up to 60% of operated patients. Despite the fact that laparoscopic hernia repair has been shown to reduce postoperative pain compared to open hernia repair, up to 5% of patients suffer from persistent discomfort. During that operation the mesh is either fixed using a stapler or tissue adhesive glue. With the current study we compare postoperative pain between patients undergoing laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair with either mesh fixation using a stapler or tissue adhesive. The use of von Frey monofilaments allows to describe pain with a high sensitivity.

Relapse and Failure Rates Between CAD/CAM and Conventional Fixed Retainers
RelapseThe aim of this study was to compare the differences in relapse and failure rates in patients treated with fixed retainers (FRs) using Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing technology, lab-based technique, and chairside method.

Recurrent Salivary Gland Infections in Covid-19
Recurrent Salivary Gland Infections in Covid-19The aim of this study is to find out the role of Covid-19 in salivary gland infection and its recurrence.

Time to Treatment and Disease-free Survival of Patients With High-risk Head-neck Cutaneous Squamous...
CarcinomaSquamous Cell8 moreThe purpose of this study is to investigate the association between time to treatment (defined as date of pathological diagnosis to date of start treatment) and disease free survival in patients with high risk cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in the head-neck region.
