Generic Tacrolimus in the Elderly - Prograf® vs Tacni®
End Stage Renal DiseaseTest bioequivalence of generic tacrolimus (Tacni), using original tacrolimus (Prograf) as comparator, in elderly (>60 yr) renal transplant recipients
Hemodialysis Adequacy Using a Heparin-grafted Dialyzer and a Citrate-enriched Dialysate
Kidney DiseasesHemodialysis Complication1 moreAfter providing informed consent, patients will be randomized to either the intervention treatment ("EvoCit procedure") or the control treatment ("EvoHep procedure"). After randomization, each study arm consists of four weeks of 3x4 hours hemodialysis treatments according to the allocated protocol. After the last dialysis treatment of the fourth treatment week and after a long interdialytic interval, patients will crossover to the alternative hemodialysis procedure. After crossover, the study will be completed with, again, four weeks of 3x4 hours hemodialysis treatments according to the allocated protocol.
Prediction of Chronic Renal Disease After Acute Kidney Injury in the Intensive Care Unit
Acute Kidney InjuryChronic Renal DiseaseThe study aims to develop and validate a prediction score of chronic renal disease occurrence within 3 years after ICU discharge in patients who suffered an acute kidney failure during ICU stay and recovered normal renal function at 90 days following their discharge. The primary study outcome is the incidence of chronic renal disease within the first 3 years after ICU discharge, defined by a lower glomerular filtration rate (GFR) under 60 mL/minute/1.73m2.
Triferic AVNU Infusion Via Freedom Pump During Hemodialysis
End Stage Renal DiseaseThe main purpose of this study is to evaluate the delivery of Triferic AVNU intravenously using the Freedom Pump-20 during hemodialysis into the pre-dialyzer and post-dialyzer blood lines.
Liraglutide Treatment to Patients With Severe Renal Insufficiency
Type 2 Diabetes MellitusEnd-stage Renal DiseaseIncretin-based therapy for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is new and fundamentally different from the classical treatments with oral antidiabetic agents and insulin. The novel and original aspect of this investigator-initiated study is the focus on treatment with an incretin-based agent (the GLP-1 analogue liraglutide) in T2D patients with severely reduced kidney function. At present there is virtually no knowledge of the physiology and clinical implications of the role of incretin hormones and incretin-based therapy in this group of diabetic patients. The aim of the study is to establish an evidence-based rationale for introducing a GLP-1 analogue to the limited armamentarium of antidiabetic drugs for patients with type T2D and severe renal insufficiency. The overall hypothesis is that patients with T2D and severe renal insufficiency will tolerate and benefit from treatment with the GLP-1 analogue liraglutide, hereby improving glycaemic control and reducing risk factors of cardiovascular disease
Combined Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and Renal Transplant for Multiple Myeloma (MM) With End...
Multiple MyelomaEnd Stage Renal DiseaseThe primary objective is to cure multiple myeloma with less toxic allogeneic bone marrow transplantation while inducing renal allograft tolerance through mixed chimerism in patients with end stage renal failure and multiple myeloma
Evaluation of Electrostimulation Program During Dialysis Sessions in Chronic Renal Failure Patients...
Chronic Renal Failure (CRF)Sport improves quality of life and health, decreasing cardiovascular risks and increasing effort tolerance. Chronic renal failure (CRF) induces many clinical and biological complications leading to less effort tolerance (strength and endurance). Renal failure patients got also many cardiovascular risks : sedentarily lifestyle, hypertension (HTA), diabetes, neuropathies, bone disorders, depression and sedentarity due to dialysis sessions. Moreover, dialysis sessions three times a week induce the spiral of deconditioning. In order to counteract this, sport should be encourage in this specific hemodialysis population. The aim of this study is to evaluate electrostimulation program during dialysis sessions for 3 months. Evaluation will be done using the Test of 6-minute walk (6MWT). Secondary aims will be evaluated: Muscular strength and quadriceps diameter Equilibrium Quality of life. Strength developed during maximal exercise test in a subgroup (patient undergoing dialysis in Rennes center, about 40% of the total population) Nutritional intakes (quantitative and qualitative evaluation)
Evaluation of the Biocompatibility of Cartridge Blood Set Versus Standard Blood Line
Chronic Kidney FailureThe primary objective is to collect data to evaluate the biocompatibility of two types of blood circuit, already on the market.
L-Carnitine in Peritoneal Dialysis
End-Stage Renal DiseaseThe development of glucose-sparing strategies able to provide an efficacious ultrafiltration profile represents one of the modern goals of peritoneal dialysis therapy. The study hypothesis is to evaluate the possibility to formulate peritoneal dialysis solutions containing L-carnitine as an osmotic agent to partially replace glucose.
Pharmacokinetics Study of Donepezil HCl in Subjects Receiving Haemodialysis.
End-Stage Renal DiseaseThe purpose of this study is to investigate the pharmacokinetics of donepezil HCl 3 mg in subjects with end-state renal disease who were receiving haemodialysis.
