Liposomal Bupivacaine (Exparel) in Sarcomas

Soft Tissue SarcomaSoft Tissue Tumor1 more

The purpose of this research is to study a medication called liposomal bupivacaine (EXPAREL®). Study doctors want to see if it is safe, if it can reduce pain after surgery, and the study doctor want to study its use after the removal a soft tissue tumor called a sarcoma

Amifostine in Treating Women With Ovarian, Peritoneal, Cervical, Fallopian Tube, Uterine, or Endometrial...

Cervical CancerEndometrial Cancer5 more

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Chemoprotective drugs, such as amifostine, may protect normal cells from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of amifostine in reducing the risk of side effects caused by cisplatin and paclitaxel in treating women who have ovarian, peritoneal, cervical, fallopian tube, uterine, or endometrial cancer.

Amifostine to Protect From Side Effects of PSCT in Treating Patients With Solid Tumors

Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsChildhood Germ Cell Tumor7 more

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. Chemoprotective drugs such as amifostine may protect normal cells from the side effects of high-dose chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of amifostine in protecting from the side effects of peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating patients who have high-risk or relapsed solid tumors.

Study of Doxorubicin and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Intraoperative Brachytherapy...

Malignant Neoplasms of Mesothelial and Soft TissueRhabdomyosarcoma3 more

The goal of this clinical research study is to find the highest tolerable dose of heated doxorubicin that can be given to patients during surgery with abdominal tumors. The safety of this drug will also be studied.

Selinexor in Combination With Ixazomib for the Treatment of Advanced Sarcoma

LiposarcomaMalignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumors3 more

The main purpose of this study is to establish a safe and tolerable dose combination (the "maximum tolerated dose") of selinexor and ixazomib when used together for the treatment of patients with certain types of advanced sarcoma. The study will enroll patients with advanced dedifferentiated liposarcoma, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor, alveolar soft part sarcoma and Ewing sarcoma. Future studies to further evaluate the safety and anti-cancer efficacy of this treatment for sarcoma will use the dose combination determined in this study.

Advanced Solid TumorMetastatic Cancer15 more

The purpose of the Phase 1/2a study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SNK01 in combination with trastuzumab or cetuximab in order to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD)/recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D), and the preliminary efficacy for each combination regimen.

Dalteparin in Preventing DVT in Participants With Cancer

Bone SarcomaFemur Fracture5 more

This trial studies how well dalteparin works in preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) (blood clots) in participants with cancer. Dalteparin is a blood thinner that can treat blood clots and may prevent them from forming.

Study of Oral Ridaforolimus in Combination With Standard Chemotherapy for Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Ridaforolimus has been tested in almost 2 dozen studies; however, it has not previously been tested in combination with the standard of care chemotherapy for sarcoma as this study will. We will be looking to see if Ridaforolimus given with SOC chemo (AIM or TG) is well tolerated and to determine a Phase 2 dose.

PET CT as Predictor of Response in Preoperative Chemotherapy for Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Sarcoma

RATIONALE: Diagnostic procedures, such as positron emission tomography (PET) scan and computated tomography (CT) scan, may help doctors predict a patient's response to treatment and may help plan the best treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin and ifosfamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving chemotherapy before surgery may make the tumor smaller and reduce the amount of normal tissue that needs to be removed. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well PET scan combined with CT scan predicts response in patients undergoing chemotherapy and surgery for soft tissue sarcoma.

Trial of Primary Prophylaxis With rhTPO Administered to Patients With High Risk Sarcoma Receiving...

Sarcoma

Intensive chemotherapy is often associated with low platelet counts often requiring platelet transfusions to maintain platelet counts. In previous clinical studies administration of rhTPO has been demonstrated to increase platelet counts.
