MT2004-30: Tomotherapy for Solid Tumors
Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsKidney Cancer3 moreRATIONALE: A peripheral blood stem cell transplant or bone marrow transplant using stem cells from the patient may be able to replace immune cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy and image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy used to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of bone marrow radiation therapy followed by an autologous stem cell transplant in treating patients with high-risk or relapsed solid tumors.
Nelfinavir Mesylate in Treating Patients With Recurrent, Metastatic, or Unresectable Liposarcoma...
Adult LiposarcomaRecurrent Adult Soft Tissue Sarcoma2 moreRATIONALE: Antiviral drugs, such as nelfinavir mesylate, may help prevent cancer cells from spreading. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of nelfinavir mesylate and to see how well it works in treating patients with recurrent, metastatic, or unresectable liposarcoma.
Gemcitabine in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Refractory Cancer of the Uterus
SarcomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of gemcitabine in treating patients with recurrent or refractory cancer of the uterus.
Cryosurgery in Treating Patients With Soft Tissue Sarcoma
SarcomaRATIONALE: Cryosurgery kills cancer cells by freezing them. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining cryosurgery with chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of cryosurgery with or without chemotherapy in treating patients who have soft tissue sarcoma.
BMS-247550 in Treating Patients With Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Recurrent Adult Soft Tissue SarcomaStage III Adult Soft Tissue Sarcoma1 morePhase II trial to study the effectiveness of BMS-247550 in treating patients who have advanced soft tissue sarcoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
A Phase II Trial of COL-3 in Patients With HIV Related Kaposi's Sarcoma
AIDS-related Kaposi SarcomaHIV InfectionCOL-3 may stop the growth of cancer by stopping blood flow to the tumor. Randomized phase II trial to compare the effectiveness of two different regimens of COL-3 in treating patients who have HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma.
EMD 121974 in Treating Patients With HIV-Related Kaposi's Sarcoma
SarcomaPhase I trial to study the effectiveness of EMD 121974 in treating patients who have HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma. EMD 121974 may stop the growth of Kaposi's sarcoma by stopping blood flow to the tumor.
A Study of SHR-1210 Plus Apatinib in Patients With Soft Tissue Sarcoma
SarcomaThe main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of SHR-1210 plus Apatinib versus AMD plus IFO in participants with soft tissue sarcoma.
NAPAGE: NAb-PAclitaxel and GEmcitabine in Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Soft Tissue SarcomaA clinical trial with biweekly regimen of gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel for Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs). A Promising antitumor activity in patients with metastatic STS has been reported with gemcitabine alone or in combination with taxanes including docetaxel and paclitaxel in pre-treated patients. Nab-paclitaxel is a 130-nm albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel particles (Celgene, Summit, NJ) which was designed to eliminate the toxicities associated with Cremophor®-EL. Nab-paclitaxel at equal dose of paclitaxel showed increased antitumor activity, enhanced endothelial cell transport and 33% higher intra-tumor paclitaxel concentration in preclinical models of solid tumor xenografts promising an advantageous pharmacokinetic profile In sarcoma, nab-paclitaxel demonstrated preclinical anti-tumor activity in rhabdomyosarcoma xenograft model. Local relapsed tumors following paclitaxel treatment proved to be paclitaxel-resistant but remained responsive to nab-paclitaxel. These findings provide the rationale for further evaluation of nab-paclitaxel in combination with gemcitabine for soft tissue sarcoma treatment.
Oncology Dashboard for the Improvement of Operational Efficiency and Patients Outcomes in Patients...
SarcomaThis clinical trial investigates whether measuring and presenting information about a patient's cancer treatment to them, their doctor, and their radiologist using a tool called an "oncology dashboard" may help patients understand the disease better and help the patient's medical team manage their care more efficiently. The oncology dashboard tool may help patients understand the disease better and may help improve the efficiency of their medical care.
