Gemcitabine With or Without Docetaxel as Second-Line Therapy in Treating Patients With Metastatic...
SarcomaRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and docetaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether giving gemcitabine together with docetaxel is more effective than giving gemcitabine alone as second-line therapy in treating uterine or soft tissue leiomyosarcoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying gemcitabine and docetaxel to see how well they work compared to gemcitabine alone as second-line therapy in treating patients with metastatic or relapsed, unresectable uterine or soft tissue leiomyosarcoma.

Bendamustin Hydrochloride in Patients With Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS)
SarcomaSoft TissueThe aims of this trial are to evaluate the efficacy of bendamustin in patients with metastatic soft tissue sarcoma who have progressed after or during an anthracycline-baesd chemotherapy and to assess the treatment of toxicity.
Neoadjuvant Adriamycin and Ifosfamide Plus High-Dose ICE in Patients With Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS)...
SarcomaSoft TissueComplete resection is still the only curative treatment option in patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS). Patients with a non-resectable STS have a dismal prognosis even without evidence of metastatic disease. The aim of this trial is to determine whether neoadjuvant dose-intensive chemo-radiotherapy is a feasible and effective approach in patients with non-resectable STS.
