Two devices will be tested in this research: Mantis Photonics' hyperspectral camera for non-invasive retinal examination (i.e., a hardware medical device under investigation). Blekinge CoGNIT cognitive ability test (i.e., an assessment).

The goal of this cohort study is to estimate the incidence of AD in the first-degree relatives of patients with AD. The main questions it aims to answer are: cognitive changes of subjects at high risk of AD as ageing; environmental and behavioral factors affecting AD incidence.

This is a cross-sectional and longitudinal study to investigate the relationship and central mechanism between type 2 diabetes and cognitive impairment based on the simultaneous EEG-fMRI approach and peripheral neuropathology biomarkers assay.

UDDGait™ is a multidisciplinary research project with the overreaching goal of providing an aid for early identification of cognitive impairment and risk of dementia development, thereby providing a basis for adequate symptom relieving and health promoting interventions. A new concept is investigated for this purpose: a "dual-task-test", which implies the combination of a well-established mobility test (Timed Up-and-Go, TUG) with a simultaneous verbal task (i.e. TUG dual-task, TUGdt). This type of test has been judged as a potential aid for early identification of dementia disease. More research is needed to further examine the test's validity, reliability and predictive capacity. The overall aim is to investigate if TUGdt is useful as an aid for prediction of dementia disease. To ensure the results, the aim is also to evaluate the test's measurement properties and to generate normative reference values of healthy control persons.

This research study aims to examine biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease as early as possible which could potentially be a screening tool for the general population. This observational study will take place at the Memory and Aging Program at Butler Hospital. The study will enroll up to 200 cognitively healthy subjects aged 50 to 80 years with ongoing recruitment and enrollment for 2 years, and subject participation lasting approximately 4 years. Disclosure of AD risk assessments will be an optional procedure. Two PET imaging sub-studies will also be optional.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how we can detect Alzheimer's disease early by using an online memory test and a simple blood test. These new methods for early diagnosis could allow people to begin treatment sooner, with the potential to improve the lives of millions of people.

The goal of the study is to characterize preclinical Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) neuropathology in a selected group of young adults with youth-onset diabetes, and an age-similar group of young adults without diabetes.

This study plans to establish a large bank of blood, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), imaging, and clinical data. These data and samples will be used for future research into the causes of Alzheimer's disease (AD), Down Syndrome (DS) and other diseases that cause thinking and memory problems. This future research will also study how treatments for these diseases work. This research may help develop new treatments for some diseases of the nervous system and help understand these diseases better.

A single-center, open-label baseline controlled imaging study designed to assess whether brain tau fibril uptake of flortaucipir as measured by PET correlates with cognitive status of individuals with and without brain tau fibrils.

This study evaluates the use of an EEG device using Event Related Potentials to help diagnose Alzheimer's Disease in the outpatient clinical setting.
