COVID-19 Detection Test in Oncology

EVIDENCE is a non interventional, French, multicenter study. Patients will be screened by local severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) immunoassay in their oncology department (rapid diagnostic test (RDT) or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)). In patients with positive local SARS-CoV-2 immunoassay, a centralized SARS-CoV-2 ELISA will be performed in order to double check the immune response of all patients considered immune by local immunoassay.

Convalescent Plasma for the Treatment of Patients With COVID-19

This expanded access program will provide access to COVID-19 convalescent plasma 150 or more individuals with moderate to severe or life-threatening manifestations of COVID-19, or documented to be at high risk of developing such manifestations at participating hospitals in Colorado.COVID-19 convalescent plasma is the liquid part of blood that is collected from patients who have recovered from COVID-19. Convalescent plasma collected from individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 contains antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. Preliminary evidence and data collected during other respiratory virus outbreaks (including the 2003 SARS-CoV-1 epidemic, the 2009-2010 H1N1 influenza virus pandemic, and the 2012 MERS-CoV epidemic) suggest that the antibodies in convalescent plasma may be effective in fighting the infection.

Severe/Very Severe COVID-19 Illness

The purpose of this Cohort Treatment Plan is to allow access to ruxolitinib for eligible patients diagnosed with severe/very severe COVID-19 illness. The patient's Treating Physician should follow the suggested treatment guidelines and comply with all local health authority regulations. The requesting Treating Physician submitted a request for access to drug (often referred to as Compassionate Use) to Novartis which was reviewed and approved by the medical team experienced with the drug and indication. Please refer to the latest Investigator's Brochure (IB) or approved label for overview of ruxolitinib including: non-clinical and clinical experience, risk and benefits. Novartis will continue to provide any new safety information to the Treating Physician as they emerge.

Nursing home resident are particulary frailer and vulnerable.
