Evaluation of Clinical Parameters on Admission and Medications in Covid-19 Pneumonia (Corona Virus...

Covid-19

Investigators will recruit patients diagnosed with COVID-19 pneumonia between March 11th, 2020 and April 15th, 2020 in emergency, internal medicine and cardiology outpatient clinics, retrospectively and analyze their clinical and demographic features on admission in regard to their medications used for chronic diseases regularly.

Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Quality of Psychological Life (COVID-PRO-IMPACT)

Covid 19Stress1 more

The COVID-19 pandemic is profoundly changing the way people live and work. After the health impact, it is the mental and psychological impact that reaches varying degrees in the entire world population. The previous Asian epidemics have had a lasting impact on the health professionals concerned. In France, no study has yet assessed the psychological impact of this health crisis on the level of health professionals. Investigators propose to study prospectively the evolution of the state of stress and anxiety of all the professionals practicing within the gynecology-obstetrics departments of 18 French hospitals. Investigators also hypothesize that the mental repercussions in terms of stress and anxiety within the same service could be different depending on the professional status and the place of exercise (the French regions being impacted in different ways). In addition to the epidemiological interest, the results of this study may help us to target regions and professionals who will need psychological support during and after this serious health crisis.

Slovenian National COVID-19 Prevalence Study

COVID-19SARS-CoV-2

The investigators are conducting a national COVID-19 prevalence survey on a sample of 3,000 inhabitants that were randomly selected from the Slovenian population. The sample is representative in age, gender, and geographical distribution. The main objective is to assess how many people in Slovenia have COVID-19 in April/May 2020 and how many were infected with SARS-CoV-2 previously. The investigators are using a direct detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA in nasopharyngeal samples with validated two-target PCR-based commercial assay. For a serological response to the etiological agent, IgG and IgA anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies are measured in plasma samples using a validated commercial assay.

COVID-19Critical Illness9 more

Severe COVID-19 patients at a high risk of venous thromboembolism. We studied patients in 2 intensive care units of university hospitals in Barcelona and Badalona, Spain. We performed a cut-off screening of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) with bilateral duplex ultrasound to 230 patients.

Acral Cutaneous Thrombotic Vasculopathy and Covid-19 Infection

COVID 19

Spectrum of skin lesions may arise during Covid-19 virus infection. It includes non-specific urticaria, aphtoids lesions, but also acrosyndromes, in particular suggestive of chilblains. Pathological findings showed thrombocytic lymphocytic vasculitis. Chilblains are sometimes associated with Raynaud's phenomenon or acrocyanosis. Dermatological features may present pathophysiological similarities with the inflammatory and respiratory vascular disturbances, which makes all the gravity of this disease, or even with other organs. Indeed, genetic conditions such as familial lupus chilblains, linked to a mutation of TREX1 gene, and SAVI (Sting associated vasculopathy with onset on infancy) have similar clinical presentations. In particular, SAVI associates both acral skin and lung damage, and auto-antibodies. They have recently been identified as type I interferonopathies. Hallmark is interferon signature, i.e. hyperexpression of type I interferon in the blood. The investigators hypothesize Covid-19 may lead to similar skin involvement as in type I interferonopathies. The interferon pathway is involved in anti-viral defense. Covid-19 could cause excessive activation of this pathway. In addition, hyperactivation of the type I interferon pathway leads to modulation of the adaptive immune response. Production of autoantibodies, in particular antiphospholipid antibodies, have thrombogenic properties. Searching for acquired hemostasis disorders and high level of interferon secondary Covid-19 virus infection, could explain this new and misunderstood skin disorder. Then, targeted therapies, both treating and preventing, could be considered.

CORonavirus (COVID-19) Diagnostic Lung UltraSound Study

COVID-19

This observational study is designed to assess whether focused lung ultrasound examination can improve the diagnosis of COVID-19 lung disease and/or make an alternative diagnosis at a patient's initial hospital presentation. For patients with confirmed COVID-19 the study will also assess whether surveillance lung ultrasound examination can predict clinical outcome over the course of their hospital admission.

Awareness of COVID-19 in Turkey

Healthy

Because COVID-19 is a new virus, it is believed that awareness assessment will inform and guide what steps should be taken and which groups should be targeted in terms of controlling the pandemic. According to our hypothesis, COVID-19 awareness of individuals in different age groups in the Turkish population also varies. There are controlling pratices based on scientific studies made during the outbreak, but there is no certainty as to how much these measures are known by our society. Based on these, the aim of our study was to investigate and compare the awareness of new Coronavirus (COVID-19) in different age groups across Turkey.

French Multicentre Observational Study on SARS-Cov-2 Infections (COVID-19) ICU Management Study...

PneumoniaViral2 more

Since December 2019, a new agent, the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus has been rapidly spreading from China to other countries causing an international outbreak of respiratory illnesses named COVID-19. In France, the first cases have been reported at the end of January with more than 60000 cases reported since then. A significant proportion (20-30%) of hospitalized COVID-19 patients will be admitted to intensive care unit. However, few data are available for this special population in France. We conduct a large observational cohort of ICU suspected or proven COVID-19 patients that will enable to describe the initial management of COVID 19 patients admitted to ICU and to identify factors correlated to clinical outcome.
