Augmented Reality for Shoulder Pain and Scapular Dyskinesis

Shoulder Pain

The aim of this study is to analyze whether an Augmented Reality based scapular stabilization exercise program is more effective than conventional programs in patients with chronic shoulder pain and Scapular Dyskinesis.

Functional and Radiographic Outcomes After Shoulder Surgery

Shoulder PainOsteoarthritis of Glenohumeral Joint1 more

The objective of this study is twofold: First, to determine whether higher levels of pre-operative psychological distress predict worse outcomes after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair; second, to obtain functional outcomes (VAS pain, VAS satisfaction, VAS function, Simple Shoulder Test (SST) and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) Score), physically examine and perform a radiographic analysis of patients at a minimum of 6 months after reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, total shoulder arthroplasty, arthroscopic scapulothoracic bursectomy, acromioclavicular joint reconstruction and arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Finnish Imaging of Shoulder Trauma

Shoulder PainShoulder Injuries2 more

The FIMAGE-Trauma study is an extension of the FIMAGE study and aims to answer the question if rotator cuff tears found on shoulder imaging after a shoulder injury are caused by the index trauma or are rather incidental findings. Eligible participants of the FIMAGE study will be invited to a follow up visit in the case of a shoulder injury or a sudden onset of significant shoulder symptoms (within a 2-year time frame). These findings will then be compared to the baseline data collected in the FIMAGE study (including the comparison of pre-injury and post-injury MRI:s)

Urdu Version of Oxford Shoulder Score Scale: Reliability and Validity Study

Shoulder Pain

The primary goal of this study is to translate and culturally adapt the Oxford Shoulder Score Scale into Urdu, as well as to assess its reliability and validity in the Urdu-speaking Pakistani community. This research will also look at the relationship between Oxford Shoulder Score Scale and the Shoulder Pain And Disability Index and Short Form - 36 scores for shoulder pain.

Rotator Cuff Tear Severity and Scapular and Rotator Cuff Muscle Activation Patterns

Rotator Cuff TearsRotator Cuff Injuries1 more

Rotator cuff tears are common musculoskeletal injuries that can lead to altered scapular and rotator cuff muscle activation patterns and reduced function. This study aims to investigate the relationship between rotator cuff tear severity and scapular and rotator cuff muscle activation patterns. The primary objective of this study is to determine whether a relationship exists between the severity of rotator cuff tears and the activation patterns of scapular and rotator cuff muscles. Secondary objectives include: Identifying differences in muscle activation patterns between varying tear sizes. Evaluating the potential of these activation patterns as an indicator for the severity of rotator cuff tears. Assessing the influence of muscle activation patterns on the functional capacity of the affected shoulder.

Finnish Imaging of Shoulder Study

Shoulder PainRotator Cuff Tears2 more

In the Finnish Imaging of Shoulder study we will recruit 600 participants from a nationally representative general population sample. Participants aged 40 to 75 years will be invited to a clinical visit that includes assessment of general health, shoulder history and symptoms, and bilateral clinical examination and shoulder imaging (both plain radiography and MRI). We aim to assess the prevalence of abnormal imaging findings in both asymptomatic and symptomatic individuals and explore possible risk factors for abnormal imaging findings and shoulder symptoms.

Treatment of Shoulder Osteoarthritis

Chronic Shoulder Pain

The purpose of this study is to learn if pain can be relieved by delivering small amounts of electricity ("electrical stimulation") to the nerves relaying sensory information to the shoulder. This study will use a device called Sprint PNS system. PNS stands for Peripheral Nerve Stimulation. This device is cleared by the FDA for up to 60 days of use for relief of chronic or acute pain.

Developing a New Scale for Evaluating Shoulder Problems

Shoulder LesionsShoulder Injuries1 more

Problems related to the shoulder are frequently seen in the society. Many methods are used to evaluate these problems. One of the most frequently used methods is self-report scales. When the shoulder-oriented self-report scales in the literature are examined, methods such as Visual Analog Scale, Numeric Scale and Likert Scale are used more frequently. In the literature, there is no scale that seeks clear answers as yes/no by grading shoulder-oriented activities. We would like to contribute to the literature by developing a scale that uses such a scaling method. All of the shoulder-oriented self-report scales used in Turkey were developed by cultural adaptation. In our study, it was aimed to develop an easy-to-understand scale that includes items with high social intelligibility and offers a new scaling method.

Ambulatory Rehabilitation Program in Patients With Degenerative Rupture of the Rotator Cuff Tendons...

Shoulder Pain

The main objective of the research is to study the effectiveness of an ambulatory rehabilitation program based on mobilization and muscular solicitation, during painful shoulders by full-thickness degenerative rupture of the tendons of the rotator cuff. , with the algo-functional state, ie pain and activity limitation, as judgment criteria, at 3 months.
