InsomniaThis is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter trial with a 4-way crossover design. Elderly subjects with primary insomnia who meet screening requirements will initially be randomized into the study and receive the first of 4 treatments (PD 0200390 5 mg, 15 mg and 30 mg or placebo) daily 30 minutes before bed time for 2 consecutive days in a polysomnography (PSG) lab.

Several disorders, and particularly sleep disorders, are associated with insomnia symptoms, and longitudinal sleep assessment may support a better understanding and management of these patients, who currently seldom access sleep lab PSG. On one hand, this study aims at demonstrating whether the final device's user interface supports safe and effective use when being used at home over multiple nights. On the other, the study aims at confirming that stable and consistent data are measured in the device's actual use, for the records to be clinically usable in daily practice.

Behavioral Insomnia of Childhood: Impact of Parent Education
Sleep Initiation and Maintenance DisordersBehavioral Insomnia of Childhood (BIC) is among the most prevalent problem presented to pediatricians with a reported occurrence of approximately 30% worldwide.The most widely applied treatment strategies for BIC in infants comprise behavioral procedures such as unmodified extinction; graduated extinction (ignoring the infant cries with minimal checks), or camping out. Unfortunately, breastfeeding is usually considered as an undesirable sleep association in these strategies. Moreover, less is known regarding the effects of these interventions on breastfeeding outcomes. The cued care is defined as a pattern of care characterized by sensible caregiver responsiveness, which meets the need underlying the infant's cues in a flexible manner. In this context, POSSUMS has been developed as a cued care sleep intervention, which is quite different from the conventional sleep training techniques. In the current study, investigators hypothesized that mothers receiving the cued care sleep intervention would report less sleep problems in their infants. Secondary outcomes included improvement in maternal mood and maintenance of the breastfeeding during the observation period.
Efficacy of Wholetones® 2Sleep Music on Health and Sleep Behaviors of Healthy Adults With Insomnia...
InsomniaSleeplessness(b) The investigators propose to conduct a four-week randomized controlled crossover trial on healthy adults with occasional sleeplessness to examine the efficacy of Wholetones music on their health-related quality of life, sleep quality and quantity, anxiety/stress levels, mood, and EMFIT sleep tracker data. Baseline sleep data will be obtained for the first week of the study. Using a crossover design, each participant will then be randomized for 10 days to each of the following two conditions: (1) Wholetones music and (2) classical music. The participants will be instructed to listed to the music for 30 minutes prior to sleep each night. The self-report assessments will be taken at Day 0 (baseline), Day 7, Day 17, Day 21, and Day 31. The participants will also complete a sleep daily survey and use the EMFIT tracker nightly. It is hypothesized that the music conditions will result in improved sleep behaviors and self-report health outcomes compared to the classical music condition. It is also hypothesized that a dose-response will be evidenced with stronger effects found for Wholetones music compared to the classical music.

Researchers hope to better understand the feasibility and acceptability of this intervention in neuro-oncology, as well as the preliminary potential benefits of this intervention on brain tumor patients' sleep, fatigue, mood, quality of life, and chronic inflammation. This may lead to improvements in treating insomnia in primary brain tumor patients.
