Descriptive Study in Patients Treated With Vimovo™, Including Registration of the Physicians' Prescribing...

OsteoarthritisRheumatoid Arthritis1 more

The most common pain-relievers used by patients with rheumatic disorders are called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs are effective and well documented, but they can cause ulcers and gastrointestinal side effects. Vimovo™ is a tablet containing naproxen (NSAID) and a gastroprotective agent called esomeprazole. Patients with rheumatic disorders, who are at risk for developing gastrointestinal side effects, and where lower doses of naproxen or other NSAID treatment is not considered sufficient, could use this tablet. The regulatory authorities in many European countries have approved the use of Vimovo™, but they would like to understand how various factors influence the doctors' decision to prescribe the tablet and what is characterizing the patients receiving it. The aim of the study is to answer these questions.

MRE as a Screening Tool for axSpA in IBD

Axial SpondyloarthritisCrohn Disease

This study aims to assess the effectiveness (specificity and sensitivity) of using magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) as a screening tool for axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) in patients with Crohns disease. Patients with evidence of axSpA on MRE imaging will be assessed clinically for axSpA (including a dedicated axial magnetic resonance imaging scan of the spine and sacroiliac joints) and will be compared to a group of age and sex-matched control participants with Crohn's disease but with no evidence of axSpA on MRE imaging.

PROM Collected Via a Smartphone App Versus a Touch Screen Solution Among Patients With Inflammatory...

Rheumatoid ArthritisPsoriatic Arthritis1 more

A randomised, within-participants cross-over design trial including 60 patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis. The participants will be randomised to data registration of patient reported outcome measures (PROM) through the DANBIO app on a smartphone first and thereafter via the touch screen solution at the rheumatology outpatient clinic or vice versa. Outcomes are the following PROM: HAQ, VAS pain, VAS fatigue, VAS global Health, BASDAI, BASFI, PASS, Anchoring question, DAS28crp and ASDAS.

Observational Study to Evaluate the Real-Life Effectiveness of Benepali Following Transition From...

Rheumatoid ArthritisAxial Spondyloarthritis

The primary objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of Benepali in participants with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), including participants with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) and non-radiographic axSpA, following their transition from treatment with Enbrel. The secondary objectives of this study are to describe clinical characteristics of patients transitioned from Enbrel® to Benepali® in routine practice, to evaluate safety during and following the transition from Enbrel to Benepali and to evaluate patient-reported outcomes during and following the transition from Enbrel to Benepali.

Association Between Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Spondyloarthritis

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic dermatosis, characterized by an inflammation of the follicular epithelium in the apocrine glands. The hypothesis of a link between hidradenitis suppurativa and inflammatory rheumatism has been widely considered, with evidence in support of this theory accumulating from several case reports and small series. The most frequently cited rheumatismal disease thought to be associated with Hidradenitis suppurativa is spondyloarthritis. Taken together, these data suggest that there may a link between hidradenitis suppurativa and spondyloarthritis, but literature data are sparse, and to date, no study has investigated or demonstrated such a relation. Indeed, existing studies to date were observational, descriptive, and retrospective, and did not use modern diagnostic approaches for documenting spondyloarthritis, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or the recent classification of spondyloarthritis.

Socio-economic Determinants for Acceptance and Choice of Biological Treatment

Spondyloarthritis

This was a cross-sectional study conducted at National center for rheumatic diseases, Nepal on SpA patient refractory to initial treatment with conventional anti rheumatic drugs. Patients taking TNFi (tumor necrosis factor inhibitor- adalimumab or etanercept) or tofacitinib were included. Baseline demographic, socio-economic, clinical data were recorded.
