Athletic Injuries

The study will be a randomized clinical trial. Data was collected from the Pakistan sports board. All 44 Participants were randomly allotted into 2 groups via lottery method, with 22 participants in each group. 10 participants from cricket and volleyball each, 8 from wrestling, athletes, and football each. Participant informed consent was taken priory, and all information was given to them regarding their enrolment in the study. And taken them in confidence that their data was kept confidential and this study does not harm their health. Group A participants received the Myofascial release technique while group B received the dynamic stretching technique. Data were collected pre and post. The session was last for 3 weeks, and each week had 5 sessions. Statistical package for the social sciences will be used to analyze the results by using parametric test after confirming normality of data.

Efficacy of Postural Reeducation in Elite Gymnasts With Back Pain

Introduction: Low back pain is a musculoskeletal disorder that is associated with symptoms such as pain, limitation of joint range and postural problems in athletes. Methods: The study design is a randomized controlled clinical trial with a minimum of 35 elite gymnasts with back pain. Two postural treatments will be implemented, Mezieres Method and Isostretching to verify if there is improvement of back pain in gymnasts and to compare both procedures. Discussion: This trial could generate a greater understanding of the importance of posture related to low back pain and its possible treatments.

Potential Injury Incidents at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

This is an exploratory observational study. Video footage is used to review all 64 matches in the football tournament. All players actions are registered using the FIFA football language, such as, pass completed, clearance, etc. Potential injury incidents are registered, and for each incident the injury location, contact type, player reaction, velocity, location, game reaction, referee reaction, medical staff on pitch, and outcome (e.g. substitution) are also registered.

Influence of Wrist Taping on Handgrip Strength in Crossfit Athletes

The idea that the use of a wristband can increase the grip strength is old, but without systematic scientific evidence. Most Crossfit practitioners wear wrist bands during training because it is believed that the wristband increases the grip strength of the hand. The aim of this study is to to analyze the influence of the use of the wristband on the maximum force value and on the dynamic resistance of hand hold. A simple blind randomized cross-over trial will be performed.

The goal of this clinical trail is to determine the effects of eccentric hamstring training, in prevention of hamstring injuries in sports involving sprinting among club level athletes. The main question it aims to answer is : - Will eccentric exercises have an effect in the recovery of hamstring injuries and injury prevention in sprint performance sports among club-level athletes. Participants will be divided into two groups. Control group will perform conventional training program and interventional group will perform eccentric exercises.

Prevention of Injuries in Young Athletics (Track and Field) Athletes

The long-term purpose of an on-going participatory action research program "The KLUB-study" in Sweden, that involves scientists and representatives from all levels of athletics, is to develop a sustainable framework for safe athletics (track and field) training for child athletes born 2002-2006. The first part of the research program, a 1-year longitudinal study analysing training and injury data, was completed in November 2017. The present study sets out to evaluate a website that aims to support coaches and caregivers in their role as adult key stakeholders to foster young athletes to become adult athletes who possess the tools to maintain a healthy sporting lifestyle.
