A Study of Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin as Luteal Phase Support in Frozen Embryo Transfer

Subfertility

A randomised trial on the use of luteal phase support in frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. The hypothesis of the study is that the use of luteal phase support with human chorionic gonadotrophin would increase the pregnancy rate in frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles.

Assessment of Intralipid Efficacy in Women With Unexplained Recurrent Implantation Failure

Subfertility

The study will include 100 women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure undergoing IVF/ICSI cycle. Patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria will be randomised into two groups. Study Group: This group will include 50 women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure undergoing a trial of IVF/ICSI. This group will receive intravenous infusion of intralipid 20%, on the day of oocyte retrieval, a second dose on/ the following day of positive pregnancy test and a final dose 2-3 weeks later when attending for pregnancy scan. Control Group: This group will include 50 women with unexplained recurrent implantation failure undergoing a trial of IVF/ICSI. This group will receive intravenous infusion of placebo, on the day of oocyte retrieval, a second dose on/ the following day of positive pregnancy test and a final dose 2-3 weeks later when attending for pregnancy scan.

SJ-0021 (Gonalef®) Versus Purified Pituitary Gonadotropin (Fertinorm-P®) for Ovulation Induction...

InfertilityOvulation Induction

Efficacy and safety studies in the past have suggested that a starting dose of 75 International Unit (IU) of SJ-0021, and an increase in the dose by 37.5 IU every 7 days, are safe for treatment of subjects with ovulatory disorders who are infertile due to hypothalamic or pituitary dysfunction and have amenorrhea I or anovulatory cycles (including oligomenorrhea and polymenorrhea). This was a phase III, multicentre, single-blind, parallel-group comparative study conducted to provide confirmatory evidence of non-inferiority of SJ-0021 versus purified gonadotropin, a comparator drug, for induction of follicle development and ovulation in infertile Japanese women and to provide further information on the safety and tolerability of SJ-0021.

Extended High Dose Letrozole Regimen Versus Short Low Dose Letrozole Regimen as an Adjuvant to GnRH...

Infertility

The aim of this randomized controlled trial is to compare the efficacy of extended high dose letrozole regimen (5 mg /day for the first 5 days of cycle and 2.5 mg/day for the subsequent 3 days ) with short low dose letrozole regimen (2,5 mg/day from cycle day 3 to 7 ) as an adjuvant to GnRH antagonist protocol in the management of patients with poor ovarian response undergoing IVF-ET.

Single Dose FSH-GEX™ in Healthy Volunteers

Female Infertility

The aim of the current study was the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic characterization of a single dose administration of four doses of FSH-GEX™ in healthy pituitary-suppressed female volunteers, in comparison with two marketed comparator products.

A Dose-response Trial Using rFSH FE 999049 in Women Undergoing IVF/ICSI Treatment

Infertility

This trial investigates the effects of several doses of FE 999049 in women undergoing IVF/ICSI (in-vitro fertilisation/intracytoplasmic sperm injection) treatment.

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) Intervention To Treat Ovarian Aging

InfertilityOvarian Aging2 more

To test the hypothesis that supplementation of DHEA for at least twelve weeks prior to and during ovarian stimulation increases oocyte quantity (number of oocytes retrieved) and oocyte quality (clinical pregnancy rates and molecular markers) following IVF and IVF/ICSI treatment. To evaluate the feasibility of conducting a large multicentre trial

Efficacy of Low Dose hCG on Oocyte Maturity in Poor Responder Women Undergoing Intracytoplasmic...

Infertility

This study is a prospective, randomized, parallel, controlled trial to assess the efficacy of the late follicular phase administration of low dose hCG on oocyte maturity for ovarian stimulation in 73 poor respond patients undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatment.

Impact of Folates in the Care of the Male Infertility

Male Infertility

Unexplained male infertility is increasing, and, nowadays, the investigators only can propose palliative treatment, as In VITRO Fertilization (IVF). The folate metabolism is a key for the maintenance of genome integrity. A dysfunction in this pathway can be responsible of spermatogenesis defects, and further, of infertility. Few assays have shown that folate treatment can improve sperm parameters and fertility, till 30% in some of theses studies. The purpose of the investigators study is to demonstrate the impact of folates treatment on improvement of sperm parameters and on the rate of success of in VITRO fertilization procedures.

Efficacy and Safety Study of a Single Injection of SCH 900962 Versus Daily recFSH Injections in...

Infertility

The purpose of this study is to show that a single injection of SCH 900962/MK-8962 is non-inferior to daily injections of recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (recFSH) during the first week of ovarian stimulation in terms of the number of vital pregnancies (ie, presence of at least one fetus with heart activity as assessed by ultrasound at least 35 days after embryo transfer) in women aged 35 to 42 years undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) prior to in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
