Cognitive Function Analysis and qEEG Study in Long COVID-19 Syndrome Patients

Long COVID-19 Syndrome

Over than 30% individuals with COVID-19, including the asymptomatic ones, and around 80% of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 may experience post-COVID sequelae, which is commonly referred to as Long COVID Syndrome. This condition has ties to decreased cognitive function and may lead to neuropsychiatric disorders but still need to be studied further. Using a cross-sectional design, this study will analyze the relationship between cognitive function and neuropsychiatric disorders with brain wave activity in Long COVID patients. The investigators conducted assessments utilizing the quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) measurement method and interviews using instruments such as the MMSE MOCA, mini ICD 10, and SF 36. With this qEEG examination, the investigators hoped that there will be an imbalance/abnormality of brain wave activity that arises related to impaired cognitive function.

Delineating the Molecular Spectrum and the Clinical, Imaging and Neuronal Phenotype of Chopra-Amiel-Gordon...

Genetic DiseaseChopra-Amiel-Gordon Syndrome2 more

The purpose of this study is to establish a registry of individuals with confirmed or suspected Chopra-Amiel-Gordon Syndrome (CAGS) to learn more about the range of symptoms, changes in the structure of the brain seen on imaging, and learning difficulties that individuals with this disorder may experience. The investigators will obtain medical history, family history, MRI records, patient photographs, and genetic test results from individuals with confirmed or suspected CAGS. A subset of participants will also undergo a standardized neurobehavioral assessment. This data will be maintained on a secure research database. Sample collection will be offered to participants for the functional testing and the generation of iPSC cell lines, for neuronal reprogramming and phenotyping.

Relationship Between Serum N/OFQ and Brain-heart Syndrome

Cerebral-Cardiac Syndrome

Choosing the neurology patients in the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, diagnosed with patients with cerebral syndrome into the experimental group; patients who did not have cerebral syndrome included in the control group, and all selected people had no intimate relationship with each other.Specimen collecting control group and the study group serum inflammatory factor IL-6, solvent peptide and catecholamine content. The difference between the two groups of data was observed.According to the literature, it is guess: The solitary peptide content of the experimental group will be higher than the control group, and is positively correlated with IL-6, catecholamine content. The difference was statistically significant.

Validation of a Predictive Score of Acute Chest Syndrome

Vaso Occlusive CrisisAcute Chest Syndrome

Vaso-Occlusive Crisis (VOC), the most common manifestation of sickle cell disease (SCD), is the first cause of death, particularly when complicated by an acute chest syndrome (ACS). The PRESEV score could help the physicians to better manage VOC and could be used for future therapeutic trials. This predictive score of secondary ACS has to be validated in a multicenter international study.
