Rabbit Anti-thymocyte Globulin in the Treatment of Patients With Low to Intermediate-1 Risk Myelodysplastic...
Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)This is a Phase II, single-arm, open-label, multinational, multicenter study of rATG in patients with low or intermediate-1 risk MDS who have either failed 1 prior treatment with growth factor(s), hypomethylating agents (5-azacitidine or decitabine), or the antiangiogenic agents lenalidomide or thalidomide, or who have never been treated for MDS (i.e., treatment-naïve patients).

Trial of Dextromethorphan in Rett Syndrome
Rett SyndromeIncreased brain glutamate and its N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors found in the brain of younger Rett syndrome (RTT) patients cause toxic damage to neurons (the brain's nerve cells), and contributing to EEG spikes. Dextromethorphan (DM) acts by blocking NMDA/glutamate receptors. This study is being done to determine if DM will prevent the harmful over-stimulation of the neurons thereby reducing EEG spike activity. Treatment with DM consists of one of 3 different doses (0.25 mg/kg per day; or 2.5 mg/kg/day; or 5mg/kg/day), and aims to find out which dose if any will help improve EEG abnormalities, behavior, cognition, and reduce seizures, as well as improve breathing abnormalities, motor capabilities, bone density, and GI dysfunction. The study will include 90 females and males with RTT, 2 years-14.99 years of age, with a mutation in the methyl CpG binding protein 2 (MECP2) gene, and spikes on EEG, with or without clinical seizures.

Calfactant for Direct Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Respiratory Distress SyndromeAdultThis study will determine if administration of an suspension of calfactant, a lung surfactant, intratracheally in patients with Direct Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome within 48 hours of requiring mechanical ventilation can decrease the mortality in patients with lethal disease and shorten the course of respiratory failure in patients with sub-lethal disease.

Full-dose Atorvastatin After Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in Non-revascularisable Coronary Artery...
Acute Coronary SyndromeCoronary Artery DiseaseThis study was designed to test the hypothesis that the addition of full-dose atorvastatin (80 mg/day) to conventional medical treatment could reduce ischaemic recurrences after non-ST-elevation acute myocardial infarction (NSTE-AMI) in patients with severe and diffuse coronary artery disease (CAD) not amenable to any form of mechanical revascularisation.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome Overlaping Celiac Disease
Celiac DiseaseIrritable Bowel Syndrome1 moreThe goal of this prospective observational cohort stuty is to assess the prevalence of overlap irritable bowel syndrome on coeliac disease in patients on gluten-free diet. The main questions it aims to answer are: percentage of the occurrence of irritable bowel syndrome in the population of Polish patients with celiac disease on restrictive gluten-free diet what is the correlation between the persistence of intestinal symptoms and adherence to a gluten-free diet (according to the patient's assessment) or confirmation of disease remission (based on histopathology or antibody level).

Correlation Between Palmaris Longus Muscle and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal Tunnel SyndromeThe Palmaris longus (PL) muscle is a long, adaptable muscle that lies between the Flexor Carpi Ulnaris and Flexor Carpi Radialis muscles in the shallow volar segment of the lower arm. It has been acknowledged as a minimal muscle, nonetheless, in light of the fact that reviews have uncovered that around 30% of the populace might be feeling the loss of this muscle in one lower arm (one-sided) or the two lower arms (reciprocal), but the rate could continuously fluctuate. Carpal tunnel syndrome is an often-observed disease that causes pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and arm. The disease occurs when one of the major nerves to the hand - the median nerve - is compressed as it moves across the wrist. The abnormal passage of palmaris longus tendon through the carpal tunnel leads to a contributory factor for causing the median nerve compression.

Ferroptosis Study in SF3B1-mutant Myelodysplastic Syndromes (FerMDS)
Myelodysplastic SyndromesFerroptosisMyelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are clonal diseases of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) characterized by dysplastic and inefficient hematopoiesis related to excessive progenitor cell death. Ferroptosis is a recently described cell death mechanism and we think that it could be a major player in the pathophysiology of MDS, involved in the cell death that characterizes these diseases and contributing to cytopenias. The study aims to demonstrate that there is a significant activation of this phenomenon in MDS patients compared to a population of subjects without MDS.

Nevoid Basal Cell Carcinomas in Gorlin Syndrome
Basal Cell CarcinomaGorlin SyndromeThe overall aim of the project is to gain knowledge about the expected course of nevoid basal cell carcinomas and the usefulness of dermatoscopy in young individuals with Gorlin syndrome. Clinical experience and some case-reports suggest that nevoid basal cell carcinomas have an indolent course with slow growth and that they can sometimes regress. However, no systematic research has previously been performed. Increased knowledge about nevoid basal cell carcinomas and the use of dermatoscopy could be of great clinical value in the follow-up and treatment of individuals with nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome.

Epidemiological Characteristics and Prediction System of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Acute Respiratory Distress SyndromeThis project intends to adopt the multicenter prospective real-world study method to conduct a preliminary study on the incidence, grading, risk factors, respiratory support strategies, in-hospital mortality, 3-month mortality, 6-month mortality, 1-year mortality, quality of life, lung function and limb function recovery, cognitive function, return to work and other conditions of ARDS patients in RICU. By collecting 1,000 patients, a clinical database related to ARDS in China was established to provide essential data and ideas for promoting standardized diagnosis and treatment technology for ARDS patients and further clinical intervention research. At the same time, ARDS biobank was established in China-Japan Hospital and Xiangya Hospital to realize the integration of clinical data and sample resources, and the prediction model of ARDS survival and complications of tuberculosis clinical data and biological samples was established by using big data and AI technology.
