Effectiveness of Supportive Psychotherapy Through Internet-Based Teleconsultation on Psychological...
Post-COVID-19 SyndromeThe goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the effectiveness of supportive psychotherapy in post covid-19 syndrome patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: What is the effect of supportive psychotherapy on psychological and somatic symptoms in post covid-19 syndrome patients? What is the effect of supportive psychotherapy on the neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in post covid-19 syndrome patients? What is the effect of supportive psychotherapy on heart rate variability in post covid-19 syndrome patients? Participants will be given supportive psychotherapy in the form of an online group for 3 times a week with a duration of psychotherapy ranging from 1 - 2 hours per session. Researchers will compare the supportive psychotherapy group to education group as control. The control group will be given education about Post Covid-19 syndrome in the form of an online group for 3 times a week with a duration of around 1 - 2 hours per session.

Self Myofascial Release in Individuals With Piriformis Syndrome
Piriformis Muscle SyndromePiriformis syndrome is pain that extends from the hip to the knee, caused by the pressure of the piriformis muscle in the hip on the sciatic nerve. There is no valid protocol for the treatment of this syndrome. Physiotherapists generally use hip strengthening exercises and modalities for pain. In this study, in addition to the classical treatment, we will give two different programs consisting of self-myofascial relaxation and stretching exercises to two different groups for 4 weeks as home exercise. We will question the level of pain that people felt in the hip before starting the exercises and at the 4th week after starting the exercises and measured the hip joint range of motion.

Fasting Insulin and HOMA-IR by Age, Sex, Race/Ethnicity, BMI, and PCOS Diagnosis
Insulin ResistancePolycystic Ovary Syndrome3 moreThe study aims to investigate the relationship between fasting insulin and Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) across various demographic factors, including age, sex, race/ethnicity, BMI, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. By analyzing these variables, the study seeks to identify potential variations in insulin levels, which could provide valuable insights into the impact of different factors on metabolic health and the development of insulin-related conditions.

An Open-Label, Long-term Study to Assess the Immunogenicity of LINZESS® (Linaclotide) Administered...
Irritable Bowel Syndrome With ConstipationChronic Idiopathic ConstipationThe primary objective of this study is to assess the potential of LINZESS® (linaclotide) treatment to induce the development of anti-drug antibodies (ADAs). The secondary objectives are to provide additional evidence supporting the long-term safety and efficacy of linaclotide in adult irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) participants and to evaluate lower doses of linaclotide.

Prexasertib (LY2606368), Cytarabine, and Fludarabine in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Acute...
Chronic Myelomonocytic LeukemiaRecurrent Acute Myeloid Leukemia3 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and determine the best dose of prexasertib (LY2606368) when given together with cytarabine and fludarabine in patients with acute myeloid leukemia or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome that has returned after a period of improvement or no longer responds to treatment. Prexasertib (LY2606368) may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cytarabine and fludarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving prexasertib (LY2606368) together with cytarabine and fludarabine may work better in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid / Leucine Versus Metformin on Visceral Fat in Metabolic Syndrome
Metabolic SyndromeIn Mexico, obesity is a major public health problem. In recent years he has presented a considerable increase in the population. As a result, it has triggered a proportional increase in the incidence of cardiovascular disease and the development of Metabolic Syndrome (METS). Abdominal obesity is one of the main components of METS which is generally associated with insulin resistance / hyperinsulinemia. This is influenced both by the subcutaneous adipose tissue as visceral adipose tissue. There is evidence that the visceral fat has an important bearing on many factors of METS, like: glucose intolerance, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and insulin resistance. For management it requires a multidisciplinary approach, including changes in lifestyle, psychological and nutritional intervention as well as pharmacological and non-pharmacological support. Among non-pharmacological therapies, there is recently the use of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (ACL) and leucine where in its assigned properties include weight reduction, anti-atherogenic , hypocholesterolemic and immunostimulant effect and anticarcinogenic properties. Regarding weight reduction dominates the mechanism of action anti-lipolytic effect. But, studies are needed to link this consumption with the increase or decrease on visceral fat in individuals with METS.

Cost-utility and Biological Underpinnings of MBSR in Fibromyalgia Syndrome
Fibromyalgia SyndromePurpose: Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) is a disabling condition mainly characterized by chronic widespread pain, disturbed sleep, fatigue, and distress. The estimated overall prevalence of FMS in Europe is 2.9% and it incurs in high personal, social and healthcare costs. Available treatments in FMS are not curative and there is some evidence of positive effects of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) in patients with chronic pain and FMS. Nevertheless, although promising, the positive findings obtained in previous studies implementing mindfulness-based interventions in patients with FMS have to be interpreted with caution due to important methodological limitations (e.g. absence of randomization, high attrition rates, or small sample sizes). Therefore, further research in larger studies using more adequate methodologies is warranted. Furthermore, little is known about putative neurobiological processes underpinning the effects of mindfulness training in patients with chronic pain. Aims: The aim of this randomized, controlled trial (RCT) is two-fold: firstly, to assess the effectiveness and cost-utility of MBSR added to treatment as usual (TAU); and secondly, to evaluate the effects of the compared interventions on neurobiological parameters. Specifically, MBSR will be compared to an active control which was previously reported as a cost-effective intervention (TAU + FibroQol psycho-educational program; Luciano et al., 2013) and also vs. TAU alone (in a 12-month follow-up RCT). Brain structure and function of pain-relevant areas and levels of inflammation markers (cytokines) will be assessed pre-post interventions in half of the study participants. Methods: Design: RCT with three arms: TAU + MBSR, TAU + FibroQoL and TAU. Sample: 180 adults with FMS according to the ACR 1990 criteria (N=60 for each study arm) will be recruited from from the Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu Rheumatology Service, Sant Boi de Llobregat, Spain. Half of the participants will be randomly selected to participate in the neurobiological pre-post evaluation (N= 30 each group). All patients will be assessed at baseline, post-intervention and 12-month follow-up for clinical variables, prep-post intervention for biomarkers study, and baseline and 12-month follow-up for cost-related variables.
