Autonomic Nervous System Alteration Induce by Sepsis: Assessment and Prognosis Impact
Septic ShockSevere SepsisSevere sepsis and septic shock are causes of admission in intensive care units.Modification of natriuretic peptid including NT-proBNP and cardiac autonomic nervous system alteration are reported in sepsis shock and severe sepsis and seems to link to patient prognosis admitted to intensive care units.
Evaluation of MDW for Early Detection of Sepsis, Clinical Validity
Severe InfectionSepsis1 moreThe purpose of this study is to confirm the clinical validity and the performance of the Monocyte Width Distribution (MDW) parameter to detect the development of sepsis in a prospective study of Emergency Department (ED) adults who have blood draw including Complete Blood Count with differential (CBC-DIFF) ordered upon presentation in a Spanish & French hospital and to verify cut-off for Tri-potassium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (K3EDTA).
PCR Technic Evaluation in the Microbial Diagnostic of Septicemia in Hemodialysis Patients With Catheter....
Septicemia in HemodialysisThe aims of this study are to evaluate the PCR on whole blood approach to determine rapidly both the susceptibility and the identification of Staphylococcus responsible of septicemia in patients under hemodialysis with catheter. The results obtained with this novel experimental approach will be compared to those obtained on the same clinical samples by the routine diagnostic laboratory.
Physiologic Indicators for Prognosis in Abdominal Sepsis Study
Acute PeritonitisAbdominal SepsisEarly detection and timely therapeutic intervention can improve the prognosis of patients with sepsis. However, early diagnosis of sepsis can be difficult; because determining which patients presenting with signs of infection during an initial evaluation, do currently have, or will later develop a more serious illness is not easy. Physiological deterioration often precedes clinical deterioration as patients develop critical illness. In this study, the investigators aim to evaluate vital signs in a global cohort of patients with acute secondary peritonitis, determining which parameters are statistically significant to predict in-hospital mortality and ICU admission.
Glycocalyx and Microcirculation in Sepsis
SepsisThe aim of this observative, prospective study with cross-sectional design is to explore possible correlations/associations between microcirculation parameters and sublingual endothelial glycocalyx in sepsis. Therefore, 30 critically ill septic patients and 10 healthy controls were enrolled.
Integration of NAVOY® Sepsis in an Electronic Health Record System
SepsisThe study aims to evaluate the performance of NAVOY® Sepsis in predicting the sepsis risk in adult ICU patients. Data collection is performed via automatic retrieval from the electronic health record system to AlgoDx proprietary cloud service where it is analysed in a simulated environment.

SepsisAdult Disease2 moreThe purpose of this study is to demonstrate that addition of the Monocyte Width Distribution (MDW) parameter to current standard of care improves a clinician's ability to recognize sepsis in the Emergency Department, resulting in earlier decision to administer antibiotics from time of ED presentation for sepsis patients (simulated primary endpoint), with concomitant reductions in length of stay and in-hospital mortality for those patients (secondary endpoints).
Leukocyte MOrphology and CORticosteroids Response in SEPtic Patients (MOCORSEP)
SepsisSeptic Shock2 moreNon-interventional, prospective, monocentric study on the exploration of leukocyte morphological parameters according to the infectious condition and response to corticosteroid therapy of septic patients.
