Knee pain is one of the most prevalent musculoskeletal disorders in the United States. Conservative treatments generally consist of pharmacological agents and physical therapy. Unfortunately, such conservative care is often mismanaged, and little data is collected on clinical outcomes. The proposed investigation utilizes a novel and state-of-the-art mobile application (DETP) to guide an at-home exercise therapy program for non-operative knee pain. The purpose of this study is conducting a single-blind randomized, controlled, superiority study to compare the DETP to conventional physical therapy (PT). The investigators will seek to determine improvement in pain and function in PROMIS measures as the primary outcome. The investigators will also evaluate satisfaction with the application as a secondary outcome.

After tooth extraction, shrinkage of the bone is expected after 6 months. These changes may hamper dental implant placement and compromise soft tissue aesthetics. Alveolar Ridge Preservation (ARP) includes application of bovine-derived deproteinized bone particles in the extraction site. This technique is widely performed and drastically limits aforementioned volumetric changes. The amount of bone preservation following ARP is affected by the soft tissue barrier. In an open healing situation, it takes about 4 weeks to have complete soft tissue closure. Faster soft tissue closure could optimize the amount of bone preservation with obvious benefits for implant placement and aesthetics. Recent presentations showed the application of hyaluronic acid after ARP. However, no evidence can be found in the literature. This study aims to evaluate the wound healing potential of hyaluronic acid following ARP, as this has never been performed, yet seems promising from a biological point of view.

The research project is testing whether in screw insertion of spine surgery using "Anatase" Spine Surgery Navigation System is at least as safe and accurate as using O-arm assisted spine surgery- Medtronic Stealthstation S7 Treatment Guidance System.

This study aims to quantify resilience in survivors of a spinal cord injury. The study will consist of structured interviews and self-reported surveys. We will look for common themes between participants at different stages of injury (1-5 years, 5-15 years, >15 Years).

We documented the impact of 1 year of underwater treadmill training and supplemental overground walk training in five adults with chronic motor-complete SCI (cSCI) who had not undergone programmed epidural spinal cord stimulation (eSCS).

This research study is designed to investigate the use of a simple cognitive task (a memory cue followed by playing the computer game "Tetris") for decreasing the number of intrusive memories of trauma among trauma-exposed women in Iceland. This is a single case series using a within subject multiple baseline AB design. Participants will aim to complete a no-intervention phase ('A': baseline phase) of one week followed by a one-week intervention phase ('B'), including a one-session intervention with a researcher comprising the simple cognitive task, followed by instructions to continue using the technique self-guided in subsequent weeks. Participants will be asked to monitor the occurrence of intrusive memories of trauma in a daily diary. It is predicted that participants will report fewer intrusive memories during the intervention phase than during the preceding baseline phase and that the frequency of targeted intrusive memories is going to decrease relative to non-targeted intrusive memories. Furthermore, we will explore whether having fewer intrusive memories has an impact on function and/or PTSD, depressive or anxiety symptoms.

The main objective: To determine changes in physiological and structural properties of upper limb muscles with spasticity in patients with acquired brain injury after applying neural mobilization improving their functional performance, their participation in society and quality of life. Hypothesis: Peripheral nerve mobilizations performed with neurodynamic techniques in upper limb in patients with acquired brain injury, generate changes at structural and physiological level, favoring the performance of daily life activities and improving the quality of life.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the healing rates of wounds treated with various wound care regimens including antiseptic wound wash, topical antibiotic treatment, adhesive bandages, and/or hydrocolloid bandages.

This study is based on human anatomical data and uses computer-aided engineering (CAE) software such as biomedical image processing software, reverse engineering software, CAD software, and finite element analysis software to create a three-dimensional bracing model. With the help of 3D printing technology, we have developed personalized brace, completed the personalized rapid design and optimization of the three series of support equipment products such as the posterior cruciate ligament brace, ankle ankle brace, and shoulder brace.

Nepal is a low-income country with over 3 million individuals with physical disabilities and currently no government-run specialist rehabilitation services. The aim of this research proposal is to work in partnership with a Nepal Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre (SIRC, Nepal) to achieve the following: estimate the rehabilitation needs in individuals after stroke, brain injury and spinal cord injury in rural communities after discharge from SIRC hold user and stakeholder workshops to explore the role of multidisciplinary teleconferencing methods for remote assessment and management and agree systems for piloting deploy and pilot a novel telerehabilitation system to improve the lives of these individuals, and evaluate it in terms of feasibility and acceptability
