FibromyalgiaThe aim of this study is to investigate the effects of social media usage on pain catastrophizing and disease impact in female individuals diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome.
Clinical Effects of Radiofrequency in Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaThe aim of this study is to analyze the effects of a single-session of Radiofrequency in patients with Fibromyalgia in comparison to a placebo group.
Role of Core Exercise in Treatment of Fibromyalgia Patients
Fibromyalgiathe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of core exercises on health status, pain, pressure pain thresholds and functional capacity in patients with FM
Pain Neuroscience Education and Motor Imagery-based Exercise Protocol for Patients With Fibromyalgia...
FibromyalgiaPain1 moreThe main aim of this study is to find out whether applying both pain neuroscience education (PNE) and motor imagery-based exercise protocol (MIEP) will primarily reduce the pain of fibromyalgia. These therapies could show an evidence of improvement in fibromyalgia patients. However, there are no studies evaluating their effectiveness in combination. Secondary outcomes: To assess motor imagery ability of PNE in fibromyalgia patients To assess motor imagery ability of MIEP in fibromyalgia patients To evaluate the motor imagery ability of PNE+MIEP combined in fibromyalgia patients To evaluate pain beliefs of PNE in fibromyalgia patients To assess the pain beliefs of MIEP in fibromyalgia patients Combined PNE+MIEP to assess pain beliefs in fibromyalgia patients. To assess fear of movement in fibromyalgia patients of PNE To assess fear of movement in fibromyalgia patients of MIEP Combined PNE+MIEP to assess fear of movement in patients with fibromyalgia PNE to assess anxiety, depression, cognitive and mood in patients with fibromyalgia. To assess anxiety, depression, cognitive and mood in patients with fibromyalgia MIEP To evaluate anxiety, depression, cognitive and mood in patients with fibromyalgia together with PNE+MIEP PNE to assess self-esteem and body awareness in fibromyalgia patients. To assess self-esteem and body awareness in fibromyalgia patients of MIEP Combined PNE+MIEP to assess self-esteem and body awareness in fibromyalgia patients.

Inspiratory Muscle Training With Powerbreath Device in Patients With Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaContext/background: people affected by fibromyalgia see their own life totally disturbed after the diagnosis. This disease also courses, apart from the functional and depressing worsening, with internal damage manifested by a cardio respiratory deterioration. There are not many clinical studies publications about this disease given that is considered a weird illness with short prognosis. Objectives: to examine the effects of the inspiratory muscle training (IMT) on respiratory muscle strength, lumbar pain, quality of life, phase angle and body composition in patients with Fibromyalgia. The participants of experimental group will conduct 5 sets of 10 inspirations per day, 5 days per week, through 8 weeks.
Effect of a Functional Exercise Program Associated With Low Level Laser Therapy on Fibromyalgia...
FibromyalgiaThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a functional exercise program associated with Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on pain, functional capacity and quality of life of individuals with fibromyalgia. Half of participants will receive functional exercise and LLLT, while the other half will receive functional exercise and placebo LLLT.
Mat Pilates Method in the Treatment of Women With Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaPrimaryIntroduction: Physical exercises have been recommended to improve overall well-being in patients with fibromyalgia, with the main goal of repairing the effects of lack of physical conditioning, and improving symptoms especially pain and fatigue. Very well estimated and widely known are the studies that support the use of the pilates method as effective in improving the symptoms of the disease. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the soil method in improving pain in women with fibromyalgia in the city of Santa Cruz, RN. Methodology: This is a randomized controlled trial with blind evaluator, where 60 patients with fibromyalgia diagnosis are divided into two groups. The intervention group, perform an exercise program based on the pilates method in soil and another, considered control group, participate in a program of aerobic exercises in the pool. Both groups conduct supervised exercise programs 2 times a week for a period of 12 weeks. The evaluation instruments used in an EVA (visual pain scale); FIQ Questionnaire - Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire; Functional ability by the "Timed Up and Go" test and 6-minute walk test; A quality of sleep by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI-BR) and an ESS-BR (Epworth Sleepiness Scale); Finally, a general quality of life for the SF-36. Statistical analysis: Data are analyzed by t-student, Mann-Whitney test, repeated-measures ANOVA and intention-to-treat analysis.
Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of NYX-2925 in Subjects With Fibromyalgia
FibromyalgiaThe primary objective is to determine whether daily dosing with NYX-2925 changes markers of central pain processing in subjects with fibromyalgia by evaluating changes in evoked pain, and visual stimulation, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), resting state function connectivity magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fcMRI) and proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-MRS) in fibromyalgia subjects on active drug versus placebo.
